Continuing my search to make the best DK tank on the realm, what weapon should I use to tank? There doesn't seem to be alot of tank 2-H weps in game ATM so I would appreciate the help finding one. By the way, my guild is still on reg Naxx and Sarithon, which are not on farm.

I'm not concerned with getting avoidance stats on my weapon for tanking and leaning on it mainly for threat instead. As long as there's gobs of stam on it I'm happy.

The only two-handed weapons with +def or +parry that I am aware of come from two quests in Icecrown. That said you are far better off getting to 540 defense without using your weapon and tanking with say a Titansteel Destroyer.

The best tanking 2h is the best dps 2h. Inevitable defeat is pretty good if you're looking for a specific answer

really just get the highest dps weapon as it will help your threat boatloads. the high dps 2h weapons generally will have a fair amount of stam on them as well.
there really aren't any 'tank' 2h weapons so just take whatever works best. higher DPS will always win out.

I found that Betrayer of Humanity is the best DPS/tank axe int he game, but its from 25-Man Kel'Thulzad,a fight my guild hasn't even done on normal. Inevatable DEfeat though, could be accomplished just grinding those mobs that drop it

If a tank took betrayer of humanity before a dps, if dps needed it, I would just cry. Yes I'm aware that tanks use dps weapons, but that axe does more good in a dps' hands than in a tank's.

Inevitable Defeat from a pure theorycraft point of view.

You're getting a good amount of stamina, strength, agility, and expertise.

All of the above stats increase your base mitigation and add on a huge chunk of health. The expertise is kind of a bonus.

For a starter weapon, if you have the gold for it (not tooooo expensive anymore), is Titansteel Destroyer. The only upgrades for that are from 25mans, such as Inevitable Defeat and Betrayer of Humanity.

I know a lot of people disagree with me, but I'm switching to Dual Wield for tanking, especially since the patch is removing the CD on Howling Blast.
