#1 Jan 08 2009 at 10:41 PM Rating: Decent
Ok, I have read several stickies, and seen different numbers all over, Were should my hit rating be at???

Ok, I am mutilate spec, http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/rogue/talents.html?tal=00532310535010052010333105100520500000000000000000000005020000000000000000000000000

Feel free to reply with any changes that should be made to this, i'm thinking to take out the 2 points in SnD, guess put them in to Close Quarters Combat?

Name is Mikesalt if you want to armory me.

I use 2 daggers at the moment, I like the play style with them

This is stricly for 5/10 man raids. No PVP at all.

I have 2778 Ap
307 hit
17.78 crit

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Spreadsheet. And remember, there are no magic numbers.

Personally, I'm still seeing the poison cap as very important for my mutilate rogue. But it really depends on your gear.

You should consider moving 2 points from Precision and the one from Vigor to CQC.

also depends on your average raid makeup. Spreadsheet is also not the answer, unless you remove ALL the 25 man raid buffs that in expects you to have you're not going to get accurate readings for running heroics and 10 mans. Honestly while everything is in flux, I have been farming eternals to pay for my regem's and enchants. Then testing on the dummies. So far, like many others, I have found gemming Agi is helping my DPS more. Only then to rely on the hit you get from gear as long as you're above the (magic number for what you're doing in wotlk) for poisons to cap.

Um... yeah.... it's called "learning to use the spreadsheet properly." Vulajin explains this quite clearly for his sheet.

...or we could just use the more popular L2spreadsheet noob! =P

I second this motion.

I would recommend something like this moving http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/rogue/talents.html?tal=00532310535010051010333105100500500300000000000000000005020000000000000000000000000
just my 2 cents, and I am not currently raiding, so I could be totally wrong.

Assuming you are over the specials hit cap, I would recommend taking two of the points in Precision and putting them in CQC.

Thats an extra 2% chance to crit with Mutilate/Envenom which would be a bigger dps boost than an extra 2% of white hits going through.

Not positive but that's what I believe. Check the spreadsheet to be sure.

Do what? More energy from more crits in a Mutilate build? See Focused Attacks.

oh noes baneshmentz!

the spreadsheet is great. I rescind my accusations. I will modify my statement

A completely setup spreadsheet will yield satisfactory results for any given task. A freshly downloaded spreadsheet will not, as the IT guy would say, always RTFM. Im gonna vanish now to reduce my threat generation.

Really? Take the points from Precision instead of Imp SnD? With the SnD major glyph, I can't forsee any reason to take the talent as Mutilate spec.

OP said he's running over 300 hit and it's just something to look at is all I'm sayin. Really does depend on glyphs and how well he's handling energy pooling, but it could be a DPS increase. I recall it was at one point in my pre-Naxx gearing, much to my surprise. That's the only reason I mentioned it.
