I'm probably missing a trick here, but I'm a lvl 34 mage with practically all talent points spent in the fire tree. When I look in my character window under skills, the class skills; fire bar is all greyed out with no numbers. Can I increase this and how? Thanks in advance.
This panel is more for displaying things like professions and weapon skills (the latter of which aren't very important for a mage), which you skill up in as you do particular things (like make food or gather a herb).
Your bars for fire, arcane and frost kind of just show what your class is able to do, but there is no way (or need) to level them up, for example, each time you learn a new rank of fireball it treats it as though you are maximum rank in that skill for your level, there is no need to go and fireball things to 'skill-up' your fire ability.
In short, just ignore them.

As I understand it, that's a leftover relic of original beta. Ignore it. It means nothing.
