This is my current plan for my build (I'm level 64 atm), going for high burst and combo point regen. http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/rogue/talents.html?tal=30530310500010000000000000000000000000000000000000000005020230133320121350105201050
The build started off with me as a noob (this rogue was my first toon a while back), loving ambush and everything about it, but also wanting cold blood and the other low tier talents in the assassination tree. I've tweaked it since then, so it's definitely better. It's worked wonders, with the combination of Ghostly Strike and Setup, along with Ruthlessness and Relentless Strikes gives me amazing combo point regen even in mid battle, with a decent chance of a 5pt finisher to get me a point and automatic 25 energy. Plus, with Premeditation and Initiative, when I Ambush I instantly have 4pts, then I Hemo>Cold Blood>Evis and I've already dropped around 5k (at my level). Most mobs my level die within about 5 seconds with that combo, though I can't cold blood every time.
Keep in mind that at 80 I'm going to respec, allowing me to take the point from Cold Blood and put it into Shadow dance. I think that's a fair trade. I might also take 2 points out of imp Evis to put them in Filthy Tricks, but hey, I'll deal with that at 80.
Now, I have two questions about this build.
1 - Will it be useful at all in the future as far as grouping goes? In the past I've been able to do my DPS job very well, and unless the tank was an aggro god or something I was avoiding aggro pretty well. I realize that the high burst damage isn't as good as the sustained DPS of combat rogues. Will that render me obsolete for raids, or make it difficult to find a group that wants me?
2 - Is there anything I can change to make it any better for my purposes? Is Cheat Death worth a switch from some other skill (From what I've heard, it ain't)?
