Recount addon/ DPSFollow

Depends on the buffs I get. Good melee group and I'll hit 1500-1700 in 5 mans. I'll stay at 2k+ in 25 mans while tanking. Somewhere in the middle for 10 mans.

DPS vs Damage done. I start attacking sooner, I keep attacking longer, I'm faster switching to mobs after they die. You just have better gear so your hits land for more. I did more damage, you have higher dps.

Hierax, Mug'thol realm, 80 Warrior

Moves, well he'll have to fill those in. :)

Gear: T7 set, heroic gear. 23 expertise, 120ish hit rating, Red sword of courage, tanking gear with 27.5k hp, 21% dodge, 18% parry, 34% block:

1.3-1.7k dps in heroics.
From the top of my head: 1. Shield slam about 30%, 2. Cleave about 20%, mix of skills in between, then Deep wounds about 6%.

Gear: Tank/Dps hybrid gear, from heroics and 10-man raids, some 25-man, uncrittable, 25k hp, 27 expertise, 170ish hit rating, dps items with crit rating, 19% dodge, 17% parry, 27% block:

1.6-2k dps in heroics. About the same distribution of skills. Same spec as above. Now deep wounds does about 10% dmg because of the increased crit rating.

Using glyph of revenge, heroic strike and blocking. SBR/SBV trinket from VH.

Getting that last 200 dps is mainly about spamming buttons every GCD and keeping HS/Cleave queued. The extra rage you get from having worse defense stats helps also I guess. Tanks that keep spamming devastate will get less dps, its usable for the S&B proc and armor debuff but not much more. SS, revenge, shockwave, conc blow, dev when the others are on cooldown is basically it. And keeping HS/Cleave queued =)
