i cant kill in pvp.Follow

I love being prot in pvp, running around feeling almost god like agaisnt rogues, DKs pallies and basically everything.
But i have been having trouble with priests, be it shadow or holy and i feel like a rite chump because of it.

A frost mage cannot kite me anymore but i cannot beat down a priest with 14k HP, all other healers i seem to be able to shut down with silences and stuns long enough to kill them, but the PW:shield just holds too much damage.
Shield slam removes it, then 2 seconds later its back up again.

any one got ideas to gimme a hand?

damage shields "scale" a lot better than they used too. these are your power word: shields, your new paladin sacred shield, your mage ice barrier and mana shield, and your voidwalker sacrifice for warlocks. this new scaling makes it a lot tougher to cut thru those shields, and really starts to neuter the whole "warriors scale best with gear" argument that has been tossed around since vanilla. while it may have been true during vanilla, its no longer a warrior-exclusive thing. EVERY class has great gear scaling now.

Can't kill a good priest or a good frost mage.

I can, however, kill good ret pallies, DKs, rogues, druids of all specs, shamans of all specs, warriors of all specs, and hunters. Oh yeah and fire and arcane mages usually.

So it's a trade-off.

i dnt realy have trouble with frost mages as the ice armor is on a longer CD than PW:shield so shield slam has a better effect.
It takes a while relying on refelcts and charge/intercept CD's, but bit crits from SS and stuns will kill them in the end.

obv i dont kill them everytime, saying that would jsut be rediculous.

From what I gather mages cannot blink while silenced so as soon as i charge i hit them with shield bash and a shield slam to remove ice barrier, then they will blink away, i slowly walk towards them wait for teh end of a FB cast and reflect, let them kite me until charge is rdy then charge, Conc blow, shield bash and go nuts on them.

I have the opposite problem. I'm on a pvp server and I can't seem to take Dks. I use shield bash, concussive blow, and charge on magic users since I'm prot spec (I switched from arms at the advice of a friend) and if that's not enough to keep them close I switch to beserk stance, rush, hit, slam, pummel. This takes care of most magical encounters. DKs on the other hand (and maybe ret pallys but I haven't faced any since my respec). Any tips on how to keep my first and favorite toon relevant? Another respec is not out of the question.

Can you explain what kind of issues you are having killing DKs? I find them very easy and I don't really do anything differently from other classes. I'm not as good as reading when they are going to cast a spell at me so I typically just use Spell Reflect when it's available and hope something gets reflected. It usually does. Are you using Spell Reflect against DKs?

Remember that Concussion Blow and Charge and Shockwave all share diminishing returns on stuns, so it is best to not use them back to back, but to use them instead about 10 or more seconds apart. This shouldn't be an issue. DKs simply don't do that much damage against a prot warrior.

only problem i face against a DK is thier health regen abiliets, which any smart DK will use when facing a prot warrior.

the fact that a DK can kite better then a frost mage is also annoying, jsut as i got over being kited by a forst mage, the DKS make a fool of me with it, as even charge and intercept or on CD they can use their root which is bloody OP, with no CD.

but if you time your CD's correctly, they are no problem once you get in their face.
