I just hit 80 yesterday...It's my first and ONLY character, so it's really exciting for me. I enjoy not having to do quests to gain experience anymore (now it's just get money for that epic flyer, heh).

Anyways, my guild starts 25 mans soon, and I want to start running heroics to get geared for optimal DPS. I'll more than likely be raiding frostfire build at that time, but right now I'm still enjoying frost and it's what I'll use to run heroics until we start raiding. Here's an armory link for my character. I have no clue where to go and what to look for. If anyone can start by giving me a few tips and select pieces to aim for, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

Enchants on and gems in your gear. First thing. Every piece of gear you wear. Every time you wear it.

Beyond that, begin working on Kirin Tor rep(helm enchant, amazing dagger and very good robe). Get a Wintry Hat of Doom crafted. Never raid without a helm with an activated Chaotic Skyflare Diamond. Several other factions have amazing starter raid gear available at lower than exalted levels(spell hit belt from Wyrmrest, for instance).

The armory has a feature where it suggests upgrades. Look into that for suggestions beyond these, though these will get ya started.
