I just ran across this build on the forum and really like how it combines so many of the good features of blood and unholy. Since I am still leveling, 71 atm, and don't raid or pvp I was wondering if it would be better to take Vendetta and Bloodworms and leave Abomination's Might and Sudden Doom. I mainly solo quests and love the self-healing aspects of blood.

Thanks for any help on this.

Vendetta is a terrible talent. It was great in beta, but it's been substantially nerfed since. (6% healing versus 10% or 15%?)

Sudden Doom is absolutely essential to the build, as is Abom's Might.

I soloed every group quest to 80 as blood without Bloodworms and Vendetta; there's no reason you should need those two talents.

BTW, 44/0/27 is nowhere near as common as 44/27/0. 44/0/27 was one of the early PvP builds before people realized that it was pretty useless.

Theo, was the 44/27/0 build the one you used to level? Could you please provide a link to it.

Thanks

i'm still curious to see the 44/27/0 theophany's talking about, and i can't find the OP's 44/0/27, either.

I just dinged 64, and while I was initially going with an unholy-heavy unholy/blood build, i am thinking about speccing a blood-heavy blood/unholy build, a variation of theophany's blood dps build.

I'm doing a lot of questing with one to two friends, so pale horse is helpful for now for making all the running faster. also, they are both unholy specced, and i am looking to maximize the group healing aspects of blood, so i moved points to Improved Rune Tap. Most quest fights don't last long enough for it to matter, but I'm wondering if the three of us won't be able to run instances pretty effectively all by ourselves.

OaPH has nothing to do with increasing run speed, and only increases your mount speed.

44/27/0 is a PvP spec, as is 44/0/27. For leveling, you should be using a full blood or full unholy build, nothing else.

That's if you're min/maxing, of course. If you're not, you shouldn't be asking about leveling builds. Smiley: wink

Oh, and as they're PvP builds, there might be a PvP spec thread in the PvP forum. There might.

I just have to say that blood rocks. Theo is blood still the top dps tree at end game or is it outscaled by either frost or unholy. I see more unholy players then most dk's. Very few frost dk's. Just curious. I don't pvp but run instances when I have the time. DK is 60 and holding. Full blood right now. And I have to agree with you I don't and have never used blood worms. Seems to always come out right before the mob dies. Annoying...yes please!
