This is a compiled list of gear and gems/enchants to look for in order to make it easier to become raid ready and begin running Naxx.

This list is by no means complete. It was made with a few intentions and restrictions in mind, some people may see things differently.

First intentions were that is was made with a Holy Priest in mind. I know that Disc Priests weigh stats differently than a Holy Priest, but I think it would be safe to say the list will be just as good for a Disc Priest, because I am not weighing or rating the gear within the list.

Second were restrictions. I didn’t want to be that guy who rolls on anything simply because it has Int and SP, so I kind of stuck to listing gear that also had either Spirit or MP5. I did list some items that had no Spi or MP5, but that was because either their SP or Int was worthwhile enough to make someone want to grab it over an item that does contain Spi or MP5. Crit and Haste were non-determining factors in making or not making the list. Also anything with Hit in it was omitted from the list as well. Some people may disagree with that decision or find some items that I didn’t include, and if that’s the case let me know and I may end up adding those items to the list.

I’ve separated the list into two categories: Pre and Post Heroics. Pre-Heroics is any gear you can get before heading into heroics, so that includes all level 80 instances (including Hall of Stones, even though that is a level 78 instance), quest rewards from Storm Peaks and Ice Crown, and rep items that require revered or under (since it seems you are able to hit heroics before you get exalted with most reps that require championing), and crafted gear. Post-Heroics is just that, things you can get once you begin heroics. Heroic Gear, Exalted rep items, Emblem of Heroism items.

Lovely lovely! I'm going to check back to this a couple of times, bound to come in handy. Now all we need is a sticky. Perhaps if I were less busy (read: lazy)...

Totemic Purification Rod - Kalu'ak Revered - should be in that list also. Even more so since it can be had at level 78 already and most people should actually have most of the required reputation already simply from doing the regular quests.

One thing I'd add, though, is the head enchant you can get at Kirin Tor - Revered, the Arcanum of Burning Mysteries. Instead of MP5 it gives you crit, and for holy priests that are speced into Surge of Light and Holy Concentration, crit is vital (and essentially equal to MP5, considering the amount of mana you save when you generate a lot of critical hits). Same amount of SP as Arcanum of Blissful Mending but 20 crit strike rating:

edit: also may want to add the epic staff Damnation to the list of BiS for Holy priests. Again, amazing crit. It's the second best in slot for Holy priests who decide to go with staves.

I got the same 3 items Mike has listed at 80. I think they are heroic drops, the cloak is for definite.

Synn do you have to pm to get this added to the "FAQ and Guides" sticky? I think it would be excellent to have it on there as there is a pre Kara gear list but nothing past that and also this is an excellent guide.
