What spec is most neededFollow

Right now what Shaman spec is most sought after? I mean which is needed in grouping casual raiding? I would like to raid hardcore, but don't have the time right now. Also which one is best for soloing/questing? Thanks in advance guys.

/sigh

The spec needed is whatever is needed on your server. A lot of the time (on Fenris), people are looking for Resto Shammies, but that doesn't mean that there aren't groups out there that are willing to take an elemental or enhancement shammy. If you're good, they'll take you.

Same as above, with casual raiding, it's usually whatever the group is looking for. You'll have to take that up with your guild or your group of friends to determine that.

For soloing and questing, enhancement is the best and fastest. You can solo and quest as elemental or resto but it won't be as fast.

Just do what you enjoy and pick the spec that interested you most. Like I said, if you're good, they'll take you.

Generically, yes, Resto is the most needed, but not because people need a Resto Shaman specifically; most people are just short on tanks and/or healers in general.

There really isn't a spec out there that's going to guarantee that you're going to be able to do whatever you want whenever you want. My guild right now needs a couple good DPS and some more healers, but they've already got me, so they're looking for Druids, Paladins, and Priests. We'd take an Enhancer or Elemental, but not a Resto at the moment.

I'm with Nocturnal on this one. Just pick the playstile you like the best and dedicate yourself to being as good at it as you can. If you are, people will take notice and will seek you out.

Nothing will help you so much as getting into a guild and solidifying a spot there though.

Resto is the most needed, hands down. Severe healer shortage nowadays, especially with all the new DK tanks. The easiest to solo with is enhance, the least needed since the game is swimming in melee dps right now. Go resto if you really want to raid. Go whatever spec you enjoy if you want to have fun.

Btw, most shamans (including me) level as enhance or elemental and then respec resto to raid. Leveling resto is a pain and you can heal fine until 60 as one of the dps specs and until 80 as elemental (which is fine to solo with, just a bit slower than enhance because of the need to drink to regain mana.)

My guild is trying very hard to convert me to resto (I'm ele), to the extent of running me to gear me up for it.
I dun really like to raid heal though, still resisting. Urrgh.

As usual, people need healers and tanks all the time coz there are A LOT of DPS.

I had joined a few naxx raids where I had been asked to off heal even though I'm DPS.

This. Do this and win will follow. Being good helps. Guilds replace crappy tanks and healers just as easily as crappy DPS.

resto. But you might fair well as elemental. As there is so much melee dps with DK's now, I think most people would welcome casters. I almost see no mages and warlocks playing anymore. Everything is DK's on the server I was playing on.
