I just got out of a particularly disappointing Naxx25 run with the guild. 2.5-3 hours for 3 bosses that should have taken us < 30 mins. We had a lot of server issues...at least 3 times during the first part of the run up to the second boss in the Arachnid quarter, 22 people in the raid simultaneously disconnected. We had stupid wipes for stupid reasons. We had sloppiness and chaos. We had rogues being rogues sneaking up on bosses before the pull...which is all fine and good until the boss or one of his adds spots Mr. Rogue and the fight starts on the boss' terms instead of ours.

Our previous guild MT left the guild a few days ago, which has bumped me up in the ranks a fair bit and I'm seeing a bit more MTish action instead of the dedicated "pick up the adds" guy.

We were starting in on the Plague Quarter when one of our healers left himself on auto-run while he covered his mouth to cough and went straight into a gargoyle pat with 2 static gargoyles to either side. Yet another wipe for no good reason.

HOWEVER...

On that fight, I broke 11k tps and held it for a good 10 seconds before the gargoyle got off a stoneskin and I watch my threat plummet. Several other fights had me at 9k tps.

Just a damn shame they're nerfing JoL threat D:

:( Ahh well, ugly runs happen. Especially as groups change.

Threat benchmarks are so fluid right now. Moreso considering the JoL threat change that's coming, and the subsequent patch that will have to tune our other abilities since it will put our threat threshold ~1000 TPS behind the other tanks again.

I hope things go smoother next run :D

i dunno. i just ran a 40min H Nexus with a decently geared tankadin. there was zero downtime, no marks, no explanations, just straight up steamrolling.

what got me was he was judging Wisdom. this left me with doing Light. i wanted to suggest that we switch our judgements since the threat swing between us would be enormous. however, at no time in any pull was threat an issue.

bear in mind, i always kept a full Vengeance buff and was pumping out between 2k-2500dps. i never let him have more than 1 sec the establish aggro.

i should find out his rotation. cuz i really tested him and he came through.

I am having problems getting my threat pass 3600 tps , I use JoL + SoV + SoR and my holy sheild every time it pops. Is there something else I should be doing to be able to break 4 or 5k tps constantly? Or what stat should I increase to make my threat go up a bunch.

I use a dps weapon over a weapon with tank stats (Titansteel Bonecrusher). That helps a fair bit.

Also important to note is that we were fighting undead, and since there were three mobs bouncing around and the avoidance + heal mana returns had me sitting pretty good, I was spamming Holy Wrath and Exorcism as they came off cooldown. Consecrate was also always down, but I tend to be selective in my use of Consecrate...it's not always necessary (especially on pulls with 3 or fewer mobs) and can be quite the mana hog if you're not getting lots of hits/heals thrown your way.

Generally speaking, my tps runs in the 3000-5000 range for 5-mans, depending on available buffs. In 10 mans, it's typically in the 4.5-6k range. It's off the hook in 25-mans ;D
