So here's basically what happened. I'm the guilds muti rogue. The rest are usually combat, but the CL and one other decided to try mutilate out. They both have a Titansteel shanker in the MH and Lightblade Riverner in the OH while I had just 2 Riverners. Both have more hit, and more AP then me. Yet, on the heroic dummy in IF, I out dps them by about 200. Not alot, but it begs the question of what the hell, so we looked at the combat logs. I would crit envenoms for 5k-6k constantly, and normal them for 2k-3k. Pretty alright, but they are lucky to break 2k on a crit. Is there any reasonable explaination for that? They all copied my spec 51/13/7, the one from the sticky. *boggle* Riddle me that one, bat-dudes.

It might be too obvious, but maybe they're using envenom without being on 5 Deadly Poison? I tend to forget that you also need the poison if you're going to use the skill myself. Alternatively, you might be mostly envenomming whilst your mirror of truth is procced?

Aside from that, good question. I wouldn't rule out a bug; my paladin friend used to have +20% heal on himself for no apperant reason; once he'd spoken to a GM about it the effect was gone.

I'd guess weapon speed. Check the IP procs and DP stacks.

well we specifically waited for 5p envenoms just to make sure, and I wasn't paying attention to procs so I'm willing to bet some were with it and some were without. Although I believe they both have it as well, so who knows.

Very well then. This seems the kind of issue you want Therion or Theo for, they're the ones I'd expect able to explain such a phenomenon. I fold.

The IP procs will increase your overall DPS with faster weapons (IP isn't normalized) and full Envenom damage comes from both 5 combo points in conjunction with a full DP 5-stack. Not that I'd expect there to be much of a problem with DP stacks, but that could be the issue. I expect all of you are keeping up full stacks of HfB, right?

Really, without a WWS or at least full recount reporting there's no way to be sure. But if I were a bettin' man, and I am, I'd go with the poisons as the most likely culprit... well, assuming all other variables equal. Which is not a great assumption to have =)

Were they using Deadly MH with Instant OH? Or a different combonation for whatever reason? 2k on a crit is pretty bad, especially considering it says in the info of envenom that a 5pt will do around 2k+ normally with AP in the range of yours.

It might have to do with not knowing how mute rotation works. It is not combat, after all, and you use combo points differently in mute sometimes. HfB makes a big difference as well if they are letting it drop. Not to mention, they can drop some hit for agi/ap/crit and do mroe dps, they are using too much if you say they have more than you even.

You need a WWS in order to check, or use recount and break it all down. But like mentioned, it's most likely poisons, and probably the fact that they just don't have much knowledge of mute and are doing incorrect rotations. The 2k On a crit screams that they are doing something MAJORLY wrong.
