Honestly... I don't even remember running any instances in those level ranges. I geared up using quest rewards and buying BoE gear off the AH. The last instance I ran prior to Ramps @ level 61 was Shadowfang Keep at level 23.

40-50 ZF/Mara are very good, a lot of nice gear in here. There are also a few nice BOE blues that a BS can make, trusilver gear i think it is.

When you hit 51 go to AV and do the quest to win and get the Ice Barb Spear, this will last you to Outland.

The you can buy the Valor peices from the AH, and maybe get some boosts to get other parts, you wont NEED any other gear to level fast. Once you hit Outlands, run as many instances as you want until you get your desired loots.

Try Atlas loot to search instances for nice gear.

40 - 45:

Razorfen Downs
Uldaman

45 - 50:

Zul'farrak
Maraudon

50-55:

Sunken Temple
Blackrock Depths

55-60:

Scholomance
Stratholme
Dire Maul
Lower Blackrock Spire

All should have at least one / two drops for warriors. For instance, Razorfen Downs is a fantastic instance to get the best level 40 plate such as Carapace of Tuten'kash and Icemetal Barbute.

That said, I wouldn't bother much with instances after Sunken Temple for the warrior level 50 quest until you get to about 60 for Ramparts.

Kaliban's loot list. Google it. Click warrior tab. Print shopping list.

Basically it lists all the warrior related boss drops from all the instances. You can even narrow your search to target a specific spec.

now question... would you want to run instances over and over and farm gear or level?

i leveled pretty much with greens and some blues here and there... and if i happen to run across an instance with warr drops.. cool... but i did not farm a specific gear till i was max lvld.

As compared to leveling, and then running instances over and over to farm gear?

I guess it depends on playing style, but some people like to enjoy the way to endgame by experiencing the lower levels more slowly. In the end, we're all doing the same thing, it's just a matter of whether we have an "80" next to our name, or a smaller number.

I just like group content better. I'd rather take twice as long leveling in instances than spend half as much time questing.

Sadly I can't farm my levels as easily in pre-WotLK stuff but I try to run each dungeon at least once. I believe I ran BRD twice and Scholomance once the last time I leveled a toon to 70, which was my rogue (my DK doesn't count yet, all I've done on him since finishing the starting quest chain was to level mining and JC and I'm still not ready to move on to Outland on him). Those are kind of hard to find groups for these days. I do know that I spent the majority of 60-70 on my rogue in instances.

For an example, my warrior hit 80 before finishing questing in Grizzly Hills. That's because I spent a lot of time in instances. My hunter is even worse, I'm already practically level 77 and I'm not even finished with Howling Fjord yet. I ran DTK four times at least, VH a few times, Gundrak a few times, now I'm looking for groups for Halls of Stone which I'll run a few times as I love that place.
