Where at 68Follow

I tried putting this up on the official forums, but didn't get much response, so I figured I'd ask here as well.

My wife got me the xpac, and so now I have a decision to whether I go to northrend at 68, or at 70. I'm trying to get to 70 as fast as possible, afterwhich my levelling will likely slow down. But I wanted some trusted opinions.

Basically, with average gear, at 68, is going to Northrend going to be a faster way to get to 70? Or am I going to spend a crapload of time being dead because my gear sucks and everything rolls me with no trouble?

No, you're not. I used to find it a good idea to wait with going to outland at 60 rather than at 58, until I actually made the jump myself. I was pretty much out of quests on Azeroth at 58, jumped to Outland and did 58-60 in about an evening. Even though it might not be that bad with the Northrend jump, I doubt that you'll be dying all over.

I was 70 when I went, and I can't think of any time I died besides getting ganked. The quests are really easy and you get significant upgrades from them right away unless you have uber gear. I went to Borean first, then about halfway went over to Howling Fjord. To me, Howling Fjord was easier.
