my ammo IS in the ammo slotFollow

So my Hunter is level 80 and the current bow she uses is alright, but I picked up a way better one from the quartermaster in Warsong Hold. The name of it escapes me atm. Anyway, my problem is, when I equip it and try and use it, I am told I need to have ammo in the paper doll ammo slot. I check, and sure enough, I do indeed have ammo equipped in the slot. I switch back to my old bow, it works. Back to the new... I'm told to equip ammo. I logged out and in, and the problem persists. I submitted a ticket to a GM, and I was told..you guessed it, equip an arrow in the ammo slot. Problem not solved. My quiver is full and all, yet that darn bow seems to be cursed.
Anyone else ever have a problem like this?

I seem to recall seeing a post somewhere (here or maybe on the Blizz fora) about some bow that actually uses bullets (or perhaps it was a gun that uses arrows, I don't remember.) You might want to equip a stack of the other kind of ammo just for kicks and see what happens.

Here it is. Sin'dorei Recurve Bow actually requires bullets. Is this the one you have?

Someone put a 1 where there should've been a 0. They'll fix it eventually... In an old patch (it might have been 2.0; pretty soon before BC launched) where they fuxed up the gun-shooting animation. I remember my tauren hunter using her shotgun like a bow...
