Hit capped? And mana question? PLz helpFollow

I see many classes saying Hit capped. I have 256 hit rating which is 9.56 percent

Current stats are 1500 SP, 25% crit fire unbuffed, and 256 hit.

Im wondering if any1 can tell me what mages are hit capped at as in can i sacrifice some hit for more crit gear or should i stick with what i got any input could help current spec is FFB 0/53/18

Another thing is i just specced FFB

I do the rotation 2 scorch, living bomb, 3ffb, living bomb, 3ffb.

A couple questions are
1. Why do i seem to run out of mana so quickly for example on KT i was out of mana by the time he had 75 percent health, i mean i used evocate and gems, and was able to keep the mana up for most of the fight i just seem to burn through mana quickly is that normal? I also used pyroblast whenever available so im just wondering if any mages can give me advice.
