Okay so I know that with all the new patches they did away with finding poison in the lock boxes that we could pickpocket off of mobs, but I can't even find my ability to make poisons anymore, am I just insane or do I need to retrain to learn how to use poisons? I've still got my envenom ability so I know we can still use poisons, just don't know how to make them again. Thanks for the help and yes I know i'm a moron for having to ask

You don't have to make poisons anymore. They did away with all of our reagents. Now you just buy the poisons already made from the poison vendor.

Umm...have you been to the old poison reagent vendors yet? They sell the poisons premade. They are all over the place, in Dalaran he is in the sewers. They are sold based on level.

You still do get poisons from the lock boxes. I know because I got some last night. I seem to be getting poisons too high for me to use though so I just vender them.

I can confirm this. I have gotten a lot of poisons from the boxes I pickpocketed.

Yea kinda helps to run around the world with the little "reagent" vendor tracker going before you ask extremely stupid questions *hangs head in extreme shame*. Thanks for all the replies tho

The most important question is: since you buy them already made instead of crafting them yourself, can you buy them as soon as they become available or do you still have to complete the lvl20 quest chain? That was something I always wondered and could never find any updated information on it. It seems odd to keep a long chain that no longer does anything at all.

You no longer have to complete the quest chain to use poisons, however, that chain is still available, its a good quest to grab some lockpicking skillups, i believe the box can be picked up to about 170 skill, it doesnt turn to the gear symbol when you hover mouse over it, have to select lockpick and click the box, the box disapears after you open it and respans in about 10 seconds

This kind of makes me sad that they took it away as a requirement, not in an "I-walked-uphill-both-ways-in-the-snow-and-you-should-to" kind of way, but rather because there are so few really tough quests that teach you the ins and outs of your class. I hated and loved this quest, and as my rogue was my first serious character, it ultimately forced me to do external research and come to this site :-)

That damn lockpicking parrot in the Barrens pirate ship is another matter. I hope Polly chokes on her next cracker. Permanently. >.>
