Because I am bored, I am posting another thread similar to the one in the general section about changes to the game.
In this one, I'm hoping we can have a discussion about changes we might like as hunters. Against, please do not take this as a whining post, i have no problem with how Hunters are played now, and even after the nerfs I believe I will still enjoy my hunter more than any of the other classes.

here are some that I have thought of...

1. If they are going to nerf the damage of hunters to be closer to the damage of other pure dps classes, I would like to see our CC buffed to what I percieve more in line with other classes. Perhaps the traps could last a little longer, 20 seconds is not when compared to a mages 1 min sheep, add on top of that how many mobs easily break the trap before the 20 seconds are up. Another change could be Freezing shot would be changed into a target spell where u cast it on the target you want to freeze. Unless the tank is willing to let the hunter pull with the shot, it is more efficent to use the old way (my macro- distracting shot/place trap/stop attack) And I don't know how many times the tank gets (or anyone casting AoE) too close and breaks the trap and it usually makes me feel as if its my shortcommings that the target didn't stay trapped.

2. I've seen this one on here before and think many of you agree, place the hunters quiver/ammo pouch on the paperdoll so we have access to all the bag slots other classes have.

There are other changes being discussed in other forums, such as melee abilities, lack of Arena equality with other classes etc. But I don't want this to be the place those are discussed so this doesn't become a flame war. Hopefully we can keep it to topics that would make game play more enjoyable, but nothing that is gonna make hunters (or keep them) overpowered.

it was inevitable that hunter would be targetted for adjustment... the fact we can solo gold elites 3 or 4 levels higher than us is a pretty sure sign we're a 'bit too good' not that im complaining, makes questing a lot easier, i specialised in beast, so my pet is the tank/dps/sacraficial lamb.. must admit though, that pheonix return from the dead ability is extremely useful! the other thing was, being a beast spec, i noticed my pet can easily defeat normal critters only a level or 2 above him, and can take on a gold elite his own level with very little help from me.... and this is at level 55.. can't wait to see what its like when i get to level 70+ :D

truth is, i really like hunters as they are, its unfair i know, but, i really hope the changes arent too radical. :/

Actually, from what i could gather, Elites scale differently than regular monsters. I found i could solo Elites as much as i wanted to up to 68-69, then they started getting tougher and tougher, to the point it'd be quite hard to solo the group quests i could usually solo back in the lower lvl days.

I may be totally wrong, but that's what it seemed like for me!

I would love to see them finally do away with the ammo/quiver slots that take up let's be honest, valuable bag space that makes us have to stop farming/questing sooner than other classes. I love the changes they made to pets, hell I hardly have to ever feed my cat anymore so that saves me a little silver off of the stacks of food I used to have to have with me.

Seeing my traps last longer, and maybe not be resisted as much would be nice, or have it be so that AoE from the tank or a stupid mage wouldn't break the trap..wishful thinking there I know.

Personally I'd like to see them bring back the autoshot so that I could use my old rotation again, still can't seem to get used to basically just spamming steady shot.
