Arms Vs. Fury TG questionFollow

Right now, I'm a 70 warrior specced in arms with a 2hander, i've seen the new titan's grip and every thing, but with bladestorm and my spec, i'm usually the first in battlegrounds for damage and can solo eletes easy, but theres some people who are saying that fury with TG is a lot more easier to use and more efficent, i'm getting Wotlk soon, but should i respec to fury or stay the way i am with the new xpac?

Titans grip does massive damage. When it isn't missing. Personally I went prot spec. The DPS is decent but the fact that you take almost no damage whatsoever is nice. But I think the same still applies with what you want to do. Fury for PvE, arms for PvP and prot for raids and instances.

If you want to go TG you need +hit.

I love it. In 70 AV I was usually top 5 in damage, KBs and HKs.

Now I am using it to level and it is scary. No trouble at all. Stop every now and then to eat or bandage and then just keep killing. I ran a dungeon the other day at 73 with a group of 77's and I was 2nd on dps meters. If you have the hit and crit rating up with ap you're golden for TG.

I would say absolutly go for it. I almost laugh when I stumble across warriors who are arms spec and wonder why they are using 1 2h when they could just as easily be using 2.

Or.......at least try it out. They dropped it from 15% miss to 5% and I have heard (don't know if it's true or not)they are getting rid of it completely.

Prot is really nice for leveling 70-80. You can, with time money and quests, gear up nicely for both DPS and Prot, while leveling, and be able to solo all those 3 man or so quests.

I leveled up as TG, but took Prot rewards from quests as I leveled so that when I hit 80 i respecced and hit heroics, no trouble with my engi goggles and gun i was def capped and above 21k HP.

One thing I'm not clear on, TG adds 5% miss...so does that make your total miss chance before hit rating for an equal level creature 10 (5 base, 5 TG penalty), or 29 (24 base DW, 5 TG penalty)?

Definitely 10% for all special attacks

Not sure about white off-hand hits. The way I read the tooltip, it doesn't turn the 24% miss into 29 since you don't need to have a weapon at all in your offhand for it to hit.

Shouldn't matter much anyway since the penalty is about to be removed in 3.0.8
