Now, I used to be all about the sublety builds. I don't know, perhaps I'm just fond of the big Ambush crits. Apparently there's something about Rogues that make me go "oh look at the big critties" when on most other characters I just go "oh look at the big ************** Then, back in the day, I hit 60 and said "well fuck that..."
Shadow Dance was about as awesome a talent I could think of, PvP wise. Wasted both my vanishes? Oh fear not, I can just pop Shadow Dance and voila, stunlock begins anew. No need for a sprint out of combat to get back to the action. Not to mention all the other delightful little things that got available without stealth. Then I started using it and a glaring flaw in my logic appeared. I still couldn't use the damn skills since I wasn't stealthed. The very talent was supposed to allow this very thing, but was hampered by something very basic. My stealth bar, where all my stealth skills live, doesn't show out of stealth.
Now, I'm fond of a very tidy little UI. The less bars I show, the happier I am. The less buttons on those bars, the closer to a visual climax I manage to press myself. I really didn't feel like showing my Stealth bar outside of stealth, and I really couldn't be ***** scrolling through the bars to get to the stealth bar while unstealthed. It's about this point in my train of logic I hearthed to Shatt, ported to Org and respecced.
Now, in retrospect, there's other things I could do. I could set my stealth skills to modifier keys. All my usual keys, handily centered around my awsd keys only using Shift or whatever during stealth. Sounds like a little too much work for one freakin' talent in my opinion, but then I can't be ***** to pour water out of a boot unless avoiding it will kill me.
So how do you do it when specced for Shadow Dance? Do you play around with modifiers, hidden bars, bar scrolling or whatever? Or do you just specc Mutilate and leave sublety as the secondary tree forever and ever and ever?
