I'm normally a tankadin, 27.2k hp and def cap ;D
Tonight I spec'ed holy just for fun. I have ~1650spelldmg, 30% crit, 17.3k mana, ~70mp5 and 202haste, decent stat imo.
I went to Halls of Lightning as my first heroic (havn't tried to heal with the new talents before etc.) cuz I thought it was another heroic, but gave it a try..
The heroic went fine, few wipes cuz of minor misunderstanding between the tank and dps (crap dps btw, every1 had like 1200 MAX!). We fought our way the Loken, and he was my biggest problem. My reason why I couldn't heal this boss was cuz of slacky dps, every1 knew how to run away etc.. but still, the fight was waay too long for me to keep em all at 100%, some1 had to die.
Now I'm wondering how you guys does it?
I had seal of wisdom up all the time, judgebuff and the beacon. used HoL mainly cuz the dps (for some reason) took alot of dmg. Used holy shock on the way away from the boss and back to him, even used bubble when the fight went very critical.

sensen.....you're trying to heal literally the hardest heroic boss. Certainly the most healing intensive. As a paladin. As a recently respecced badly geared holydin!
Loken, apart from the 14k Lightning nova has an aura which is constantly damaging everyone from the moment the fight starts. For a tiny amount if you're in melee range, but at around 40 yards, it'll kill you in about 15 seconds. He hits the tank like a truck. He casts Arc lightning on a random party member which inflicts (i think) 3 ticks for 3k damage per tick. It has a chance to jump to any party member within 10 yards (that party member can then "infect" others within 10 yards as well). Arc lightning actually has the potential to kill your party much faster than the 14k nova.
Also, 1200 dps is simply not enough. I'm not sure if you mean for the entire dungeon, or just the loken fight as it's hard to maintain good dps on him; you'll be constantly running from Arced party members and the nova. I as a ret normally do half-dps, then after running from the nova do a bit of off-healing to top everyone up, then go back to dpsing.

ye, I know he's one of the hardest bosses and think I would have made it if I had better dps'ers with me. Just have to say that I didn't make the grp, cuz I useally only go in heroic with ppl that can maintain ~1900dps+ for speedruns. The dps'ers in my grp had ~1200max on trash and ~800-900dps on the boss, the main-reason why I left.
I wouldn't say that I'm badly geared, I prefer saying "decent geared" :P
Anyway, I did fine until ~40%, after 5-6 lightning nova :O, so I guess that it was cuz of the low dps.
I was just writing to see if you're doing the same as I did on the boss OR if you're doing it in another way?

Well I also had 70mp5 at level 70 in blues and pvp epics. That would be a big part of your ability to heal over extended periods of time.

Loken is much like Vexallus or Kaelthas in heroic MGT, lots and lots of splash damage with lots of movement necessary to keep out of it. We don't have AOE or HoT's to top off the party and it hits us hard. You need dps to be able to kill Loken in 2-3 minutes or else the fight becomes exponentially harder regardless of gear.
