No offense, but you really need to do some reading up on the changes that have come with WLK. The sticky (and tons of existing threads) has plenty of info on the relative importance of stats, and patch notes will catch you up on the significant changes to our (and every) class.

Most important stats to stack first are those that keep you out of the graveyard: Stamina, Armor and Agility.
Then those that help you keep mobs pissed off at you: Strength for AP, and Expertise and Hit to land your attacks.

Our Survival of the Fittest talent gives us all the crit reduction we need (6% against a boss (+3 levels) crit chance of 5.6%) so we don't need ANY defense rating on our gear. Zip, zero, nada. Defense Rating is for bucketheads, i.e. warriors and pallies.

I got questioned about the lack of defense rating while tanking H GunDrak last night.

I played dumb at first as I was didn't think they were serious. I linked SotF after a bit and they stopped questioning. Not sure if they understood why I linked it but the questions stopped.

Then the last boss dropped my tank legs but some damn enhancement shaman rolled and won them.....

edit: Bucket heads... ;p You funny.

Jeebar hit the nail on its head. Both in the statement that you should have read up first and his short breakdown.

Just remember though that expertise also keeps you out of the graveyard due to less chance to parry = less retributions after a parry. So expertise helps in both fields that Jeebar mentioned.

Ok, I have been 80 for around a week and a half maybe.

Been collecting gear and gearing up in general. Learning the heroics, remembering how to LoS and use CC. All that stuff I forgot on the faceroll to 80. Have most of the gear I want from the gear list here on Alla. Going to start enchanting as I get money that doesn't get blown on mats for crafted pieces and gems.

Sitting at around 30k health 25k armor and 30% Dodge. These are my stats in caster form . Unbuffed of course. Ran the 10 man LWG raid the other night. Was the OT. The taunt transitions were cool, even though I only got the hang of it at the end of fight.

Anyway, was asking the bears out there that been raiding a question.

Am I ready to come to the party?

You may wanna get that dodge up, horse, but I'd say you're ready for 10-man Naxx.
