that is some pretty low dps for a fight where you should have near 100% crit. Granted there were next to no raid buffs for you.

Wow, look at the DK's too....

Yeah, no boomkin/spriest, + they were basically playing the MY BUFF game, where everyone just runs and blasts at the spore, w/o any organization to it. I'm still learning to read wws charts, so I figured that was really bad last nite, when I saw that I got 2 of those buffs. lol. Anyway, last night was worse. The guild is brand new and not many are min/max type raiders, etc. That's okay, though, they seem to be the type of people I want to raid with, so I think I've found a home. Now, I just need to get spriest/boomkin in there and, well, other stuff. I'm not even gonna bother posting the logs from last nite, because it was wipefest for a few hours, because of the above reasons, so it would be a waste of time to look at. I notice that I'm missing TONS of HS procs, so that's something I definitely need to work on. I got two different buff/debuff timers, but I haven't been able to get either to work yet. I'll try with a dummy sometime this weekend and see if I can figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Anobix, I noticed earlier in this thread that you were talking about the % of time LB was up on someone's logs. How do you find that? I sifted through mine to try to see what my % was, but couldn't figure it out.

Also, from that group composition, are there any buffs I should be asking for from that specific group? Besides wisdom and the buffs from boomkin/spriest, I'm not sure what else would benefit me.

Thanks!

lb*12 = total time of lb divided by number of seconds in the fight.

If you need help with powerauras let me know via private message on here, could come to your vent and help if needed.
Btw, not sure if powerauras is one you tried but it puts a big colorful runic circle around your toon when hot streak is up, impossible to miss unless you happen to doze off mid fight. =)

Basically I want to know if I'm doing something very wrong or if its at least decent for my gear. Does it seem like i'm casting too much or too little of something?

Looking at patchwerk:

First of all you did pretty decently for having virtually no raid buffs/debuffs (spriest/boomkin/ele shaman/etc).

You only had an uptime of about 40.4% of living bomb which could have helped a bit and you missed 4 hot streak buffs. Could have used mirror image twice in the time frame.

Get rid of the subtlety enchant on your cloak and put haste on it (either 15 or 23 whichever you can afford). You should not be having threat problems.

Oh and also add a belt buckle to your belt there's an extra potential 19 (or 16 whatever) damage you can add. And change out (if you want to) the straight stam gem in your shoulders for a dmg/stam one if you need to.

Thanks a lot :) already have the belt buckle but armory is wonky. Shoulders are pretty awful and the gems also, I know. but I' m using them for the sockets to satisfy the meta gem.
#35 Jan 14 2009 at 12:23 AM Rating: Decent
^^ armory doesn't show the belt buckle for some reason.

Anyway, here's our raidfest: 10-man Sarth and Vaults, 25-man Sarth and a lolattempt at 25-man Vaults (no, the counter does not stop when you engage the boss).

I'm not too worried about Sarth, it was no drakes up and I was on adds most of the time, but Vaults could probably be better, especially the 10-man where I found a sweet spot where I could stand most of the fight w/o much movement. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I mean, it's not awful, but it seems like I'm probably missing something obvious that I can improve.

Here's our stats for Naxx 25 this week. It was pretty much a flawless run. 3 hours, no wipes. It's actually a pretty good chart to see where classes stand decked out in gear.

Pulled a solid 4k dps on this week's Patchwerk, although I always end up on the low end of the FFB crit stick (43% :-(). Although I did well keeping LB up (72.5%) and didn't miss any HS Pyros. I guess it all comes up to RNG. (the other mage had 59% on his FFBs (/jealous)) but only had LB up for 44.6% of the fight. I got 63 FFBs off, he got 58 (but had 7 more pyros than I did, which ends up being pretty darn close to the same number of FFbs). So the main difference between us (how I did all of 11dps less than him even with his far superior RNG [and gear] -- Living Bomb up time.)

For those who second guess it, it is important, it makes a big difference, and can now proc Hot Streak.

4k is awesome. :) I tried to model my toon after one who does 5k a lot, and, well, failed. I don't know what he does. I'm roaming around the 3k and up area now and happy about it. I'm not too concerned about those who do a half a percent more dps than I do. It's not my 4171 that I did on that one time patchwerk (I dunno how, since my gear theoretically wont do that much), but it's plenty to get the job done. I'm missing a LOT less HS than I was, due to power auras. I guess I could post wws here, but we had no spriest and we were messing around anyhow, not to mention that our guild forums are down. If anyone would like to see our wws, gimme a yell, we have 3 mages who raid regularly in our 10-man group. We still manage to get geared up, despite the 3 dks. :)

Wanted to add two things, so I made a new post: 1. Glad you are raiding again, Anobix!

2. I found a fun way to top the charts on Noth. Keep focus on him and LB on him. During adds, sure, flame and blizzard, then, but, guess what? LB will crit twice in a row, giving you a pyro to throw at him instantly. Then back to flamestrike/blizzard, keeping LB up the whole time. Then HS, throw pyro, then LB and back to aoe. Fun ****. :)

Other stuff there too, but that's the Noth fight.

One thing to note about LB is that it will grant hot streak from multiple crits as long as they show up in the correct order in the combatlog.

So if it says Living bomb ... hit hit crit crit, then you will get it, but if it goes hit crit hit crit you will not.

While I'm happy, somewhat, by my dps, I am not happy about my overall place.

Compared to my old guild/server, the guys I run with now are far better than I am used to. I see myself doing well with this guild and experiencing the content I want to.

With a bit of lag here is what I ended up with tonight:

http://wowwebstats.com/be2y4kc6qbtq5

Not too bad, over 5k on patchwerk (with mage armor and not asking for an innervate) -- had I gone with molten and gotten one I could have pulled 5.5 I think at least.

Loatheb is low because we were going for the achievement... which was blown in the last 5% because something killed a spore.

GWF was terrible for me, the worst of my lag happened on this fight. I couldn't get AM off because it just wouldn't animate it and arcane blast took about 6 seconds per cast.

Is it the Miss section that shows how many missed spells you had? But it shows in % :( If it shows 1.5% for FFB I need to see how many of my total FFB casts represent 1.5% to find out how many FFBs I missed? (I r not hit capped yet sadly). Or is there another option?

If you hit the "columns" button you can tick the "Nb" (number) box that goes along with it (same works for crits and other stats that don't automatically appear)

New WWS from last night

http://wowwebstats.com/wvonymrinzgqk?s=bosses&a=x141cc8f#abilities

(focused on me).

Did pretty well, would like to up my average dps to be higher than 4k (about 3.5 for all boss parse). My dps stayed about the same as last week on Patchwerk, even though I got an innervate, but I should have called for it earlier and stuck myself into the resto shaman group to get mana tide, I could have went a bit harder on myself with that. Also, I only had regular molten armor (I was testing to make sure I wouldn't go oom too much with it -- and I didn't -- I used it on almost all of the fights except for the really long ones).

Missile barrage usage was pretty decent, I got I think (if my math is correct) an average of 4.7 ticks per arcane missile (a couple times I incorrectly started using AM instead of during Mbarr so that could cause some bad numbers).

I found this by looking at my number of missile barrage procs (180 for all bosses) and multiplying by 5 (5 ticks of AM) to get the total possible number of hits, then adding up my number of misses/hits/crits and see where I stood.

For instance on patchwerk, I had 12 procs, adding up all number of hits I get 55, which means I missed a proc entirely there (could have been at the end or something like that, or maybe I was oom for a second, I can't remember).

From last night:
Malygos kill and Sarth 3d attempts and 2d attempts (hard mode 2d, keeping Shadron + Tenebron (3rd one) up to get practice with breaths.

http://wowwebstats.com/fo3i2h1auvyua

Pretty happy with my performance there, I started getting a better rotation down in the last handful of attempts, prior to that I was not going very hard on Sartharion at the beginning to avoid wasting mana as I wanted to blow evocation after killing the first drake in 3d (instead, in 2d I would evocate before Shadron landed). Didn't ask for/get any innvervates, and got hit by a handful of waves, but only died to one or two (stupid late calls) but ice blocked the other few.

Thanks Anobix, I'm pretty happy with your performance too!! It makes me feel good about mine, last night also around 15/20 attempts on Sartharion with 2 drakes but in a 10man, 0 shamans, 0 druids, I have 200 sp less than you and lacking the 4pcT7 bonus, and using hit food, I was hovering between 3k and 3.3k as FFB.
