BM Hunter

I'm not good with builds at all only understand as to how many points what into what tree when some1 says "51/13/8" or something

Anyways with this build above. I sacrifice some survivability and solo play ability but should put more damage than my current build?

Should I try it? Don't waste the good?

Thanks for any feed back.

I can only say as a BM Hunter myself that not having any of the boost talents to heal your pet seems not to be a good idea yet you took Spirit Bond which is now only used because of the bonus to pet healing , but as you already said you will lose some survivability you already knew that.

Also you went into Thick Hide which to me seems less useful than Endurance Training but i guess you are thinking of some form of raiding build anyway ?.

I have no real ideas on builds either but if the pet cannot survive ( depending on what pet of course ) then surely it is better to go MM for more damage and survivability as a BM hunter is rather hopeless at damage without a pet that is alive and attacking.

I may have got that wrong of course but from what i see with 'recount' my pet does almost as much damage as i do so i always go for ways to protect my pets with healing as i do not wish to lose almost 50% of my total damage and i would rather lose a few points of damage to keep doing steady damage.

I haven't checked out your build, but this is the current top dps build.
this will probably be the best BM build after the nerfs hit.
If we will still go BM then I don't know.

No Pots, that build has a lot of useless crap in it. If you want to use exotics, I do, and love them. Try this.

The three points in Imp stings can be switched to wherever you want, if you are below the hit cap. Go for Focused Aim. If you use HM a lot, put them there. I keep Serpent sting up at all times on bosses to that was a decent choice for me.

This spec is in no way cookie cutter. I can still pump out 4k dps with it though. The Spec Aethien linked may be better but a lot of this game is what suits you, this does. I like the extra points to buff my pet. He usually will be around 1700-1900.

But do what you like. I will point on that imp armor is next to useless for raiding, as is Catlike reflexes. However the impr rez and mend pet can be lifesavers. Healers dont always have time to cure and heal pets, that is our job. Imp mend pet makes curing easier, ad the imp rez gets your pet back up and in the fight faster.

If they buff exotics then you'll probably drop a point down to that in Aethiens build. either from invigoration or cobra.

I really like BM, so I'd probably do it anyway.

Here is an interesting way to find out what others are doing for specs. A friend just turned me on to it so if it's well known then I apologize.

Only thing bad about that site is it appearently has not been updated to wrath so it only goes to lvl 70.
