Hello everyone, I have searched around and I seem to find a lot of information about end game death knights. However I can't seem to find anything to help me along my travels.
I have started down the unholy tree so far but I would really like to know that I am going to be able to help within a group situation. I don't wanna be left out along the way to 80 if ya know what I mean.

Theo's DPS FAQ has builds and rotations in them as well as descriptions about the abilities. Use that as you level. If you notice, many of the posters are still leveling their DKs as well.
I chose Unholy and Blood and am following the guide as I go. When I get new skills, they get tried out. I think all of us have respec'd at least a couple of times. We are still so new.

As a DK starts out at a high level and quickly gains a ton of spec points to spend it's not as big of a deal in what you spend it in. That and you can throw darts at the spec trees and pretty much level however you want.

I've tried all 3 talent specs and by far the one that has me with less downtime and a greater ability to solo "group" i.e. "Elite" quests is blood spec.
Pump 51 talent points into Blood ASAP then when you gain new talent points pump them into Unholy talents that raise DPS or extend the life of deseases.
If you are not a very skilled player and don't want to learn how to rotate DK abilities, you can just dump all your talents into Unholy and play as a plate mail wearing melee warlock with a pet ghoul.
Leveling Deathknights is without a doubt very easy.

So what you're telling me is a Blood rotation takes more skill than an Unholy rotation?

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the feedback ! I have tried unholy but I don't like coming back as a ghoul I find it rather annoying. Frost has been fun! time to try blood to see how we do!

Asking the forum for help with a reasonable leveling build is kinda what the forum is for jackash.
