Hope you guys don't mind me posting this on the PLD forum, but its seems busier then the warrior's...

I took a break from WoW for about the last year and I've just reactivated my account. My biggest complaint used to be trying to find a group to do instances with. I think it had to do with playing a warlock and being a dime-a-dozen dps class. This time I want to play something more desirable. I've narrowed the list down to Paladin or Warrior - and I want to play destruction. A couple questions I have regarding how the classes compare, please let me know if I am right or wrong please! Also a couple questions...

Paladin:
Pro: I can be main tank or healer - easy to find a group
Pro: Better at tanking multiples
Pro: Easier to play effectively
Con: I have to be a blood elf

Warrior:
Pro: Better boss tank
Con: Harder to play well
Con: I can tank, but not heal - slightly harder to find a group

Also, which tends to be easier to level? I'm not looking forward to playing 1-70 again and would prefer if it went quickly!

TBH, both have been buffed to the point where you'll have no trouble tanking with either. Warrior AoE threat was greatly increased, and Paladin boss tanking has received several buffs. They're much more in line now than they were previously.

Pick whichever class you prefer. Keep in mind that if you want to heal as a Paladin, you need to have a 2nd gearset. If you want to DPS as a Paladin, you need a 3rd gearset.

In terms of soloing, Paladin wins out.

Yea... don't evaluate them based on what they can tank better because they can all handle anything without major drawbacks. Don't think that you need to pick the better class in order to excel.. there is no better class. Go with what you feel like.
