Hi all :)

I'm trying to make a macro to bind the raid marks (Skull, Cross, Star and such) to my F keys. F1-F6 preferably.

This is so all I have to do is select a mob annd press the F key that Corresponds to the icon I set it to, instead of going
through the time of right clicking and selecting that way, hopefully saving time.

Now I've never used macro's before so I wen to wowwiki and read up on how to write one. If I'm honest I'm awful on computors and it made very little sense to me.

If anyone knows how to do this I'd be very grateful if they would share their knowledge on this matter :)

Thanks in advance guys :)

You can actually bind specific raid marks on the standard blizz interface. No macro is needed. Go to keybindings and somewhere on the list you can assign keys to your marks. They got a lot more use pre-BC, because I haven't had the need to lay out tons of marks in Wrath, but it was great for speeding up raids back then by being able to just use my num pad to quickly throw down marks on a group of mobs and go. Hope this helps.

I bound my keys to F7-F12.

Starting with F12 it was Skull, X, Square, etc...

Basically, before the pull it's just a matter of clicking a mob and rolling from Index Finger>Middle>Ring>Pinkie... etc...

I found this to be the fastest and simplest. Your Right hand will be on the mouse, Your left hand just moves up and over - very quick, very easy... (Also as most people have a space between F12 and the Print Screen - you rarely, if ever, land off the mark.)

nah, use your F1-8 buttons wisely... keybind it to your buffs, shouts, debuffs and whatnot...

find a UI called Opie... Alt+1 brings up a nice disk of raidmarks... then move cursor to that direction.. voila!

Hardcore tanks use the macros anyway:

/script SetRaidTargetIcon("target",8);

/script SetRaidTargetIcon("target",7);

And so on.
