DnD is actually horrible in PvP. It puts 3(!) runes on cooldown, does pretty craptastic damage, and you have to glyph it to make it fear for 2 secs.

That means you give up one of these glyphs: Blood Strike/Death Strike/Oblit/IBF/AMS (BS glyph works on HS, too). It's unacceptable, TBH. DnD is a tanking ability, and that's it.

Death and Decay is he AoE dot, right? If so, then I hate it. It pulls me out of stealth and it generally ***** my strategy for the moment.

Unholy Ground or w/e is ******* retarded too. It doesn't do damage, but ffs, why does it have to pull me out of stealth?

Ah, DK's you say. Hmmm, i treat them as casters, keeping them locked up until i can nuke.

Have an 80 DK and 70 rogue that I PvPed extensively with Pre WOTLK.

At the moment I would say its a pretty fair fight if both players are skilled. I give the edge to the DK, as it should be, he is wearing plate against a pure melee class; that should count for something.

Best tip I can give is to spec muti and just stun lock. IBF (icebound fortitude) will be nerfed, but the no stun part should remain. Just blind if you ever see a DK covered in a frosty aura type thing (not to be confused with frost aura the spell, I just cant think of a better way to explain it). If they have a pet out, dont worry about it and just clos/vanish after you bait the IBF. wait for KS DR's to come back and go into your best stun lock rotation for a second time.

If the pet has a name that is not "risen ally" be careful. Unholy DK and his pet will have a 3 second stun. Could royally **** your stun lock rotation up so try and sap it.

As Shadowdancer, I seldom have problems with DKs. it's just a matter of triple Ambush then KS or Evisc and I've got them. As Mutilate, it's a bit harder because I still don't do a ton of damage on them and the only thing I can do is Vanish and reopen with CS again. At least Dks one level lower aren't beating me anymore.

Isn't it undead?

Now that I have some more experience, DKs are hard but alright to me. I think they would've been hell before the DPS buff, but as it is you can get quite far by going toe to toe with them and using your stuns and cooldowns at the right moments.

What really pisses me off about them is that fact that once they die, they just return for pretty much a minute while keeping their pet ánd retaining almost full DPS. This is a royal barb in the backside in the arenas. If you ask me, they A) Need to lose their pet and B) have either a DPS drop or severely reduced duration (to ~10 sec) on the talent proc. And there's of course the stupid fear on their AOE which I think is made specifically to get on my nerves.

The fear is only if they get the glyph for it(IIRC). Which is still a pain, but they don't all get that. The whole unholy, Hey you have to kill me twice thing is retarded. I just pray I haven't used my vanish or that I can get back in stealth before they respawn.

I don't remember ever seeing them dead and with a pet though, but it has been awhile since I have fought a DK. I am too busy leveling professions to care about anything else.
