Indeed, the helm enchant will last you forever(or until the next expansion) and the dagger is the best one out there pre-raid(I'd take it and the badge offhand over the epic staff from Oculus any day). The other non-replaceable(and non-championable as well) faction to start grinding is the Sons of Hodir. Their rep is only raisable through dailies and they have quite a few(don't let the spear one get you down, it's hard at first but gets easier as you learn it...always mana shield right before the dragon picks you up). They give you shoulder enchants that beat the old scryer/aldor ones by a fair amount, and they don't require you to gather fel armaments/arcane tomes to boot!

As for epic rewards, I've found the Wyrmrest boots to be the longest lasting(nothing out of Naxx 10 that I would replace em with) and you can't beat the mount from them(unless you have a bronze one!).

Which three are you most wanting? Violet/Plagued protodrakes aside(310% speed!), I'm really mostly collecting drakes to count towards my total, which I need to be 100 for the dragonhawk mount achievement.

Wear (in all dungeon runs normal and heroic) the tabard of the Kirin Tor until you are revered with them, then wear the Wyrmrest tabard until exalted. All the while do the Sons of Hodir daily quests. Until you get exalted with the Wyrmrest you should be close to having enough badges for the badge belt (after also getting your off hand at least), which is much better than the Knights of Ebon Blade one.
