My guildies are bugging me to raid again, starting with a 10 man Naxx tonite.
My wife (Resto Shammy) and I have been questing together and both dinged 80 last week, our progress has been slow because of kids work etc etc but we have enjoyed the ride :)However we were both reasonably geared prior to WOTLK and therefore have picked up next to no gear.

When I started getting bugged about raiding I maxed my Leatherworking and made a few bits (which looking at the pre raid gear list appear to be upgrades)

My big problems are as follows,

Is it finally time to get rid of my T5 bonus? :(

My pet cat is only half way up level 79 do I run out and train a 70 quick? or will he be ok (lol sentimental i know be he's my buddy and i'd hate him to miss it.)

I copied my spec from the servers top dps hunter, but it just doesn't work for me, I struggled to out dps a 77 warlock last nite and my mana was out in seconds. My glyphs are steady shot, and serpent sting so I cant see how the points in stings could be missed out, but what do i get rid of to get points in efficiency?(without gimping my dps further? FYI.I start with serpent and then steadies until serpent is up again)

I suppose with the onset of senility, my constant trawling of these forums just isnt sinking in, and I have lost the comfort zones of being in gear that i know is good, in areas i am familiar with and using rotations that i know worked.

Maybe its a confidence thing but im not looking forward to the raid as I hate being sucky in public, so I am asking for your advice (you have never let me down yet)

Thanks for any advice which helps me look half decent

Well the only thing I can think of is MP/5 if your mana is going so fast or more Intellect to increase your mana pool, because everything else looks fine. I'm not an expert on WotLK raiding gear at all so I can't say whether or not your T5 stuff is better than what's out there, but based on what you have said and the fact that you've raided before tells me that you know when to replace your gear when something better comes along.

Your spec looks great, however with the upcoming changes Readiness will be ditched for something else because it doesn't effect BW anymore. I'll leave the hardcore criticism to the pros, but you sound like you know what you're doing.

I have to say, you still have a ton of 70 epics that could be replaced with stuff from dungeons and whatnot. Aside from that its good, but 50% of your gear is stuff that could be quite easily replaced.

Get a new ranged weapon if you're struggling on DPS. There are a number of blue ranged weapons in the 120 DPS range, and an expensive Engineering epic at ~130 DPS.

Polished Regimental Hauberk Is a very good chest piece from exalted rep with the Argent crusade, IMO its better then hunter t7 till you get the 2piece set bonus

Check sticky.

spec 50/21 while you still can, it's the awesomest.
Get hitcapped (without focused aim) asap, stack Ap after that.

Glyph of Steady shot, BW and IaotH.

And then get as much uptime on BW as you can in 1 fight and see yourself top 3k on 5 man bosses, and probably 3.5k-4k on Patch10 ^^

Note on hit: it's much better to be at 264 hit than to be at 262 hit (1 aove and below hitcap respectively) because pets only get your hit in full percentages.
so 7.99% hit on gear results in 7% hit on pet.
