Alright guys, I know this isn't a rogue question but I respect the opinions of all the regulars here and I think you guys will be able to provide some input. I've got my rogue up to 60 now, and I'm still planning on keeping him as my main pretty much forever... I love playing a rogue. However, I'm also interested in rolling another character soon and I wanted to get your guys' input on what you think is the most fun.

I'm interested in playing 3 classes... Paladin, Druid, and Mage. For anyone that's had any experience with any of these 3 classes, which have you guys had the most fun with?

I have a 52ish pally. My Druid and Mage are 30 and 22 so I don't know much about how they will perform at higher levels.

I am having a good deal of trouble readjusting myself to the pally play style. Playing rogue so much since the expansion was released, I am really having trouble with classes that don't sneak their way around battles. I can sort of do that with my kitty druid but it's not the same.

A number of quests that I did on my rogue, I am finding, really stink on my pally. Being able to avoid combat was so very nice. On my pally, I have to fight each and everything between me and my quest goal. Becomes tiresome. I love wearing plate and not taking nearly as much damage but it still gets old having to fight and fight and fight just to get to some 2 second quest goal.

For me, paladin seems like the anti rogue. Go at everything head on and not take a whole lot of damage in the process where rogue is avoiding as much combat as possible and then sneak attacking when you do chose to engage. If you are tired of rogues (or the play style), I would suggest pally.

If you still want to be sort of like a rogue, go with druid. You can sneak around stuff as a cat or smash your way through it as a bear. Not sure what I can say about mages. Just not my scene so far. Hear it gets better at higher levels.

Having leveled a paladin to 70 and working on a druid as we speak (currently lvl 41, LotP rocks), I personally am enjoying the druid more than I did the pally.

It's a fairly easy play-style once you hit level 20 assuming you're leveling a druid as feral, especially if your main is a rogue. Kill in kitty against one target at a time (sometimes two), pop out to heal every few kills, and pop into bear when things start getting nasty. 1-20 is a little boring/painful since you're stuck with casting or bear form, but once you hit 32 and get Ferocious Bite you blaze through without any real issues. I don't really know much about leveling as balance since I didn't care to play a casting DPS.

Paladin can be fun but the downtime gets on my nerves, it also gets a little boring for me to just run around and kill without the ability to completely avoid combat when I feel like it. Leveling as Retribution with a 2-hander will give you some pretty big numbers to giggle at though, so I guess it's really up to you.

I leveled a mage to 30 but, once again, I'm just not too into any heavy casting classes, the lack of mobility and "squishyness" also got very annoying very quickly.

I've run all three up to 30 and my Pally is the only one I've kept. Got him up to 70 in TBC, tanked t5, healed t4 and enjoyed it a ton.

Druid didn't really stick. Just not my thing. And after leveling a warlock to 70 (my first toon actually), the Mage felt much more squishy and I got annoyed by the constant drinking (which I hear is partly my own fault).

But you should consider trying all three to 20 or so. It's pretty fast to do a short level on a toon and that might give you a better feel for the classes than the opinions of others.

I really enjoyed my mage, got her to 70 before LK and had a bit of fun.

Havn't touched her in ages though.
