Ok, let's try to keep all this info in one place. So other Warlocks have one place to look for Specs with the WWS info so you can make a decision for yourself.

Myself, I ran Naxx10 - Spider Wing last night for the first time as Felguard/Emberstorm. We had no Ele Shammy, no Boomkin, and really only one other Caster, a Frost Mage. So no real synergy going on.

Here is my Spec:

Here is my WWS:
http://wowwebstats.com/imb3iuwvlljcm

For some reason, Maexxna was counted as trash. So no good data on her.

well, bombed in the plague wing. WWS isn't up yet, but I'll post it when it is. It seemed like I was getting a lot of partial resists, and also found out the slimes at the start go back and forth from shadow immune to fire immune. So that hurt.

The bosses went well except for Loatheb. The strats we found on wowwiki were pretty much right on. Took a try or 2 to get the kiting on the first boss down, and the dancing boss was real fun. We actually had only 4 people alive for 2/3's of the fight and they took him down. I had gotten the random curse right after a life tap though, so I was out of it. No enrage timer though, so 1 tank, 1 healer and 2 DPS was enough to bring him down as long as they danced well.

The last boss though. What a pain. I totally run out of mana and can't life tap since there's really only 3 seconds on healing every 20. I don't know if our healers just need more practice or what. Our 2 Pally healers have never been Holy before. So maybe that has a lot to do with it. They are getting better though, and getting better gear too.

Ok, been a while since I put some up, so here's a lot for you to see.

This one Ibeleive I was Meta/Ruin for, possibly Demonic Pact/Ruin, can't remember, I've switched alot.
http://wowwebstats.com/gfvvtcn3zzjn1

This one was Feguard/Emberstorm. So far my favorite spec.
http://wowwebstats.com/crznmf2korz5s

more Felguard/Emberstorm, i beleive I had gotten 2pcT7 for this and the next one.
http://wowwebstats.com/jd3fvxv3jorxu

and again Felguard Emberstorm.

If someone who is Aff(Jenova) or Destro has any to put up, please share, I would love to see them.

Get Loggerhead, it will automatically turn your combatlog recording on/off upon entering/leaving raids. Then you just upload the file and delete after the raid.

Also, just wow on that DPS for Patchwerk. I'm only pushing around 3k in 10-man.

i do about 3.8-4k in 10man on patchwork :)
#7 Dec 24 2008 at 12:41 AM Rating: Decent
Why am I crying?

Because I only got 1.8k dps on Patch in 10 man.

WHY?! MUST be gear. I hope...

link your armory, i'll have a look. also what's your rotation? I was pushing 3k dps on patchwork in 10man nax on the day I dinged 80, with like 3-4 pieces of gear upgraded. personally I find that dps is primarily affected by three things.. 1. skill(rotation included here) 2. hit rating 3. spec. everything else is simply a small dps buff in comparison to what you should achieve from these 3 things

Inoperante

Check it, Jeno. Hit is where I lack right now, in terms of stats/gear.

Rotation I have refined down to Haunt>CoA>Corr>SL>SB

Refresh Haunt as and when, CoA and SL less often of course and spam SB in the middle.

Immolate takes too long I think, as does UA. But perhaps I'm wrong. I find it a tricky job to keep all of them up and SB though.

So tell me what you think - because I'm lucky if I get 1800dps.

Oh, check spec too will you - I kinda threw it together.

you're VERY wrong about immolate and UA. use both of them, they're amazing to use. also W T FFFFFFF.uck were you thinking about when you spec'd?!?!?! no improved corruption, the choice of imp.DS, grim reach, 3/3 eradication instead of 1-2 points (hard to decide which is a better dps increase in the long run compared to where you can put the points). only 2/3 empowered corruption... 2/2 imp.felhound, the choice of using ISB over having 2/3 molton core and 3/3 cataclysm... no offence but your spec and rotation is appauling...

click on taoquitok in my signature... take my spec. rotation ways..

SB > Haunt > SL > CoA > COR > UA > Imm

after that just renew dots when needed, same with haunt and swap SB to drain soul at 24-25% on the targets and MAYBE stop casting immolate from this point as it doesn't increase Drain Soul damage (but it does do amazing damage, so it's hard to tell)

for glyphs. CoA, immolate, corruption

I told you I threw the sec together didn't I. I was in a rush as I was heading to Naxx and Destro wasn't cutting it really.

Will try yours out.

jen, is this with the 56/0/15 build that you gave me in an earlier thread? with no dp or imp fel hunter?

found it: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IfxzbuMAoVi0IstZVMhV

is that the spec? if so, whats your rotation ti start?

I have been going SB, Haunt, SL, CoA, Corr, UA, Immo. and keepign good dot uptime. im not 80 yet, but i just want to make sure im not practicing a rotation that will be wrogn for raiding.

yeah it is that spec. also i use my imp rather than the felhound, it does more dps and darkpact gives less mana than lifetap, so no point using it except for that 1 boss in naxx for which you can't heal.

so the imp is indeed a better pet than the felhunter? thanks.

Is my rotation ok?

looks good. don't forget to swap to drain soul at 24% (don't do 25%, often 'bugs' 'cos for blizzard, 25% actually means 25.01-26% or something stupid, so wait till the health bar of the mob says 24%)

about pets... doomguard is top dps, but useable once an hour, then infernal (which only lasts for 1 minute, so not to useful except near the end of a fight). the issue with both is no avoidance. after that, in terms of damage for this spec. imp is the next followed by the felhound.. BUT it also depends on the boss... if the boss does alot of aoe damage around himself, the imp is generally better. if the boss does alot of aoe magical damage, felhound is better. if you need to move alot with your pet (sartharion for example)then generally both will die.. but the felhound will live a bit longer as it's easier to control and bla bla bla, some other random reasons.

drain soul for dps after 24% instead of shadow bolts? interesting, the bonus from talents is really that significant?

the 400% damage bonus from the highiest rank of drain soul IS that significant, mixed in with the bonus from soul siphon and all the other talents, you'll be ticking for 10+k every 3 seconds, which is a much larger dps increase than doing SBs for 3-4k every 2.5 seconds.

hmm... just done some checking and it turns out the corruption glyph isn't anywhere near as good as i thought.. supposedly the siphon life glyph is a better choice, so i'll be making that change when i get home :)

damn, that is a bit of a ridiculous drain soul tick. 10k? seriously? i beleive you lol.

Anyway, i had heard that the corruption glyph wasn't that great, so i replaced my SL one with it, looks like ill go back to sl.

BTW, i have one more question about that spec, why take molten core? is it to benefit immolate if it procs before you put immo up?

molton core is up perminantly due to the amount of shadow dots we cast, with 2/3 molton core. and 10k is LOW for me. i've seen up to 16k ticks on normal bosses (not any of the ones with special damage increases), i've seen 34k ticks on thadius ^^ ISB isn't worth it, only affects SB and haunt and SB is a filler spell. IF you get your hit rating up to like...356 (14%) and have a Spriest/moonkin in the raid then you can spec out of suppression and cataclysm for ISB instead, but that basically requires full naxx 25man gear.

POST EDIT

on a side note... got only 1 piece of lvl.70 gear to replace now :D just my Hex Shrunken Head trinket... hoping for the dot proc thingy trinket to drop again from sapphiron 25man, making sure i've got enough dkp to win it this time ^^ lol

From what I've heard you want the siphon life and immolate glyphs and then it's a toss-up between CoA and Corr. I guess Corruption does a bit more damage but the CoA makes the rotation easier as it brings it closer in line time-wise to soul siphon. However I can't theorycraft worth anything, maths is hard, just what I've been hearing.

BTW, I love drain soul. I almost crapped my pants when I was grinding and saw in the combat log Drain Soul damages scrub for 2,000 (4,000 overkill)for the first time.

the CoA one is about a 600 dpsc increase to CoA, it massively outweighs the corruption glyph, and ya, drain soul F T W now, what's even better is if you ever get someone to below 25% health in pvp, forget everything else you're doing, start draining ^^, doesn't matter if they heal up to full, it'll still tick for a rediculous amount :D

jen i think i love you!!! drain soul is the most wonderful finishing spell now! Wow i never thought i would say that drain souls is a great dmg spell.

ANyway, i figured ISB is worthless now just lookign at how sparingly i use shadow bolt.

yeah ISB is close to worthless, at least for an afliction lock (there is 1 spec, but it requires close to full nax 25man gear to be viable as it requires a highier than normal hit rating) anyways, if you're female, good to know you love me.. if you're male.. well... *creates new account*
