Of course once I get used to combat swords and get the decent merc swords from PVP good ol' Bliz has to change things up on me, so now I find out it's MH fist weapon with a good dagger OH. So would this work for a final PVE raiding build at 80?

I'd spec this for fist/dagger combat raiding. Although, an argument could be made for Imp Evis.

Cheers.

Honestly for leveling I'd go mutilate. Combat has comparable sustained DPS, but mutilate puts out better initial burst damage which is much more helpful to avoid taking damage yourself so you can continue killing things longer without resting/eating/bandaging. That's what slows you down as a rogue since you can't heal and don't have plate (yet do equal or less dps than people who do)

Lose MoD and Camo. Those aren't pve talents.

I don't see why you took Deflection, in groups you're not getting hit and you didn't go deep enough for riposte while soloing, the damage mitigated by 4% parry is negligible IMO. I'd much rather put those two points in Imp.Sprint or in assassination, as well as the points in MoD and Camo.

As Mentalfrog has already stated, MoD and Camo don't help your DPS, they're really only useful if you plan on getting the jump on other players or something.

EDIT: Spelling errors.

If you don't mind my asking, does the extra 20%damage to garrote really outweigh, say, an extra 8% critical strike damage from Lethality?

Just curious, I would think that an attack that I can only use twice per boss-fight would be a poor choice to spec for, but I have been wrong many times before, hehe.

(I'm too lazy to try and do the math right now, and I'm certain I'd seriously mess something up)

I think Therion mixed up a Muti build with a Combat build.

You wouldn't take the points in Opportunity, you would have them in Lethality.

Moo is right about those two points.

You all should listen to him more often. But only when he's right. Not when he's wrong and I am right. ;)
