Always loved being demo spec'd, sure made leveling easier although I'm sure a lot of people would argue that affliction was better. So I'm trying to find a good lvl 80 raiding build to start working towards when I get a chance to get back into WoW and was wondering if anyone could critique this build thx

simply no... just no... missing some very basic REQUIRED talents. go back and re-read the entire talent tree, then try again.

it's not useless. no joke, READ every talent in the demo tree, then every talent available for less than 20 points in both afliction and destro tree. you'll HOPEFULLY then see where you went wrong and be able to provide an actual viable talent spec, rather than the "zomg i clicked stuff" version you provided

I'll try to be more specific, than our friend...

I have no idea what your play style is, based on your choices here. It seems like you are looking at specific talents, and not considering the over-all effect they will have.
If you want that many points in Affliction, then get Suppression (3) and/or Improved Corruption (5). If you dont want 8 points in that tree, then get Suppression at the very least.
I never bothered with Improved Shadow Bolt, because I think procs from critical hits are not reliable, not to mention Shadow Bolt is a slow cast if you dont have Bane. If you are going with that many points in Destruction, then put only 5 in the first tier, then max Cataclysm (3) at the least, and Molten Core (3).
According to the WOW Wiki on the topic, 1% of hit rating is like 1% additional damage to a spell. 3% additional hit rating to all spells is far more reliable than occasionally boosting Shadow Bolt's output.

Your Demonology tree could use some pruning, too.
Do not get Demonic Sacrifice, if you are allocating points further than that tier. Because, Unholy Power and Master Demonologist will negate any benefit from Demonic Sacrifice, already; and the later makes Demonic Knowledge completely useless.
You'll need 3 points to improve your succubus. I know, I dont like her either, but you will be expected to crowd control at some point, and an instant Seduction is easier to manage than having to cast it while getting beat.
Rarely do I ever wish my minions had more mana. So, put those two points into Fel Synergy, and you will not need to heal your minions as often you think. 30% of ALL your damage will heal them, which means more time to DPS.
I never bothered with improving my healthstone after level 60. I have like 40 Major Healing Potions in my bags, and rarely use those as it is. There is now a glyph that will give you the same effect, which will free some talents for you to use in a more practical way.
As for the rest, I cant really say much, because I never bothered with half of those. Felguard is worth having, and is my favourite minion, when I am not experimenting with allocating talents to other trees lol. I'll probably get him again, if Shadowburn is not as cool as it sounds.

There are two "accepted" Demo Raiding builds currently. Meta/Ruin and Felguard/Emberstorm. I have personally tested both in Heroics, and now, Felguard/Emberstorm in the Spider Wing of Naxx. With Felguard/Emberstorm I topped the overall damage, and did damn good on the bosses too. If I wasn't in first, it was damn close. There's already a post by me here on the first build. It's called Level 80 Demo SB Spam. Very shortly I will have another post up about how I did in Naxx that will include the spec I used there.

Also, for those interested. I still havn't worked much more on the guide. But I will, I promise. I just don't know when. Hopefully we'll have something crude up this year.

i'll actually be useful... 'cos well the though sedrix helped a bit, some is flawed, for a demo dest spec, use this spec where you don't hit the hitcap without talents (if you do, remove the afliction ones for imp. DT or fel syn)

you don't need imp.succy, you never need to CC. everything is AOEable. and when CC is needed, other classes is better OR a casted seduce is fine, 1.5 seconds is the same as any other CC, so no worries there, waste of talents. imp.succy is pvp only
