Warrior in need of a little helpFollow

#1 Dec 07 2008 at 4:37 PM Rating: Default
Hello everyone. I need a little help. I have respecced my guild leader to arms. He hates tanking now. So I suggested he go arms. This is his amory:http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Aerie+Peak&n=Dazzarion

That is what I've currently got him specced as to level to 80. What do you think. He's wanting to be a powerhouse. Figured arms will take him to that level. Currently dinged 73. But what action bar settup does he need to focus on. I'm not an experienced warrior. Just what I've learned from reading posts on the forums. Is stats still the same such as STR, Stam and AP. Or are they different for arms. Thanks for listening. Any suggestions would be appreciated. He's looking for the most damage arms build for pveing.

So..he's prot now and you want to spec him into a high damage arms build?

It pleases me a great deal that he is alliance...because if he can't even spec himself then he's just another ally that I will crush beneath my titansteel boot.

Putting that aside.....let me try to answer you, who isn't even sure of what he's asking.

Stats affect what stats affect, for every character. Meaning strength will always affect AP no matter if you are arms, fury or prot. More Str = More AP = More dps.

If you're arms, then generally speaking, you focus on Battle stance...But the best warriors will be able to use all their stances depending on the situation.

That prot spec he has now...fails. No wonder he hates tanking cause he apparently doesn't know how to do it. He needs 5 points into parry. For a prot warrior that is not a skill you debate about. Warriors tank primarily with avoidance, druids through mitigation, and paladins through the hand of god.

I don't know what you suggested for him, but for arms, here's what I suggest...

Now if he hates tanking (which means he probably hates prot) and wants to do a lot of damage, he should go fury which is the typical dps build.

I like this bulid it works for me. If you don't used TC you can take those points and put them in improve mortal stike or execute. IMO endless rage is waste of a point because I haven't notice big increase when I did use it and I never have problems creating rage.

Arms (51 points)

3/5 Deflection
2/2 Improved Rend
2/2 Improved Charge
3/3 Iron Will
2/2 Improved Overpower

3/3 Deep Wounds
3/3 Two-Handed Weapon Specialization
2/3 Taste for Blood
5/5 Poleaxe Specialization
1/1 Sweeping Strikes
2/3 Improved Hamstring
2/2 Trauma
2/2 Second Wind
1/1 Mortal Strike
2/2 Strength of Arms
2/2 Unrelenting Assault
3/3 Sudden Death
2/2 Blood Frenzy
5/5 Wrecking Crew
1/1 Bladestorm

Fury (17 points)

3/3 Armored to the Teeth
5/5 Cruelty
2/5 Improved Demoralizing Shout
3/3 Improved Cleave

I'd use this build for endgame PvE DPS. If he's interested in something else at 80 he should spec like it, but if he wants to DPS leveling with this saves him another respec at 80.

ER and AM are for increased rage sustainment at end game. Quite nice when ou aren't getting hit.
