Was just curious if there were new tier sets for the new raids. Haven't really heard about anything but then I haven't had a lot of free time to play in northrend lately so just hoping someone could give me a little info

There's T7. It's your standard entry level raid gear.

Interesting to note that you can buy two pieces of the 10-man T7 (Chest and Gloves) with heroic badges.

Interesting, and *awesome*, Since you can walk into Naxx with the 2-piece set bonus. I lost a roll on the shoulder token by 3 last night on Loatheb but at least the badges are still contributing to the set.

On the one hand it's awesome cause you can get a head start on a better tier of gear by just saving your Emblems. On the other hand, I really don't like this idea. You should have to kill raid bosses to earn your tier gear, simple as that.

Though the way it sounds, most people don't really consider killing anything in Naxx as "earning" anything ...

Still, my opinion is tier gear should only be obtained through the actual tier bosses. I for one won't be spending Emblems on tier pieces until there's nothing left I want (should I actually get that far with nothing better :P).

I'm interested to see what happens when Tier 8 becomes available. Will pieces of the 10 man version become available for Heroic badges, and if so will the T7 pair change in value?

I like the idea of having 2 pieces of the T7 25man set available for 25man badges. You have to beat raid bosses to collect those badges and it basically means that even if you have aweful luck with bids (or rolls?) on tokens you can still make *some* headway, enough for your 2pc bonus, by being present for the kills.

A little edit to my other post, I dont' mind the 25 man tier items being for sale with the Emblems of Valor, since as Losie said, you have to actually beat raid bosses (in a 25 man) to get those. The 10 man though, you don't have to step foot into Naxx and you can get 2 pieces of tier gear. I don't like that one bit.

Haven't done much 25 yet, but I hope they add more things to buy with emblems of heroism otherwise it's a good thing they don't take up bag space.

No intellect on the tanking/dps tier 7 gear?
#11 Dec 11 2008 at 1:38 AM Rating: Decent
most spells are % of mana, so there is no need for int for tank/dps
ap=sp for dps
sta=sp for tank

Blessing of Sanctuary is all the mana you'll ever need. Add in Divine Plea and you can last forever as long as something's hitting you. And you still can use Seal of Wisdom if you really need the mana.

There's no Int on tank gear for good reason. Same goes for ret gear, with Judgements of the Wise.

- Spirual Attunement (even useful for Ret due to Seal of Blood/Martyr)
- Divine Plea
- Judgement of Wisdom
- Judgements of the Wise (Ret only)
- Seal of Wisdom
- Replenishment

Why waste itemization putting Int on non-Holy plate when it wouldn't help much and its existence would put pallies at the bottom of the priority for getting plate without Int, which is much better itemized for their current talents?
