upgrading my sad gearFollow

I haven't yet had a chance to jump into northrend yet, but would like just a few quick pointers on what gear I should just switch out with quest rewards.

Now I've looked at the wowarmory and it looks like it's been redone and is a little confusing to me, so that's why I'm asking here.

My gear is all pre-raid stuff since I didn't really have any time at all to do any of the raids or heroics, so should I just start switching out my current armor for quest rewards in places like the borean tundra where you start, or wait till I've burned through a few levels first?

And then one last question, is there a better place to look for gear upgrades besides the wowarmory because it seems at least to me that there isn't anything on there for lich king content.

Ahh gotcha, so essentially yes upgrade for the moment with quest greens/blues and then closer to 80 start using guide as a shopping list, thx
