Just need to know if my pve mage is headed the right direction. Here is my armory for my mage:

Should I take IV's at level 20 or there something better. My main is a hunter. But enjoying the heck outta mage. There a standard cookie cutter build out there somewere. Been trying to find one but can't seem to lol. I know to take the talents that increase frost damage and ones that decrease movement on the mobs to allow better control during the fight. But there are sooo many lol. I have read the sticky and have seen the talents to avoid. Just need to know if I'm headed the right way towards 30. Thanks for listening and to those that reply.
I solo most of the time. But keep lfg on instances for dungeon experience as mage.

None of your gear is bad, so that's a good start.

As for talents, so far not bad, though not how I'd do em(but playing around with it is half the fun!). I'd highly recommend that you max out Ice Shards, max out frostbite, throw a point elsewhere(Icy Veins is indeed a good choice), and then getting maxed out Shatter. From there, just grab what sounds fun to you. You seem to have enough basic knowledge to work on your spec yourself from there.

Fantastic. Thanks Poldran for the reply. Most of the knowledge I have comes from reading first...and asking questions later :D Edit: had to fix Poldarans name ><
