I saw Overlord Theophany post this in "The Rogue Compendium [updated 10/26/08]"

***************************************************
# 5/51/5 (Combat fist/dagger)
If your raid doesn't have an arms warrior or another combat rogue, this is what you should be speccing…

# 51/5/5 (Mutilate)
The only other PvE build. This is a higher personal DPS build than combat, but if your raid does not have an arms warrior or combat rogue, you should be combat…
***************************************************

My spec is the 5/51/5 my armory is:
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Alterac+Mountains&n=Yuckfoo
I use WP/WP on both daggers while doing our heroic runs. Thankfully my 5-man team is geared way better than I am but I am still pulling 1k.

5-man team setup: Prot Warrior, Boomkin, Mage (switches specs), Survival hunter, and myself.
Now with that being said I know combat is best if you don't have an arms spec warrior in a raid, but since heroic's are 5-man would the more DPS from the mutilate spec be better or should I stick with combat for the Relentless Strikes?

For raids I am the only combat rogue and until we get another or an arms warrior in 10-mans I'll stick with combat, just am not sure if it is worth it in 5-mans.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You don't run double daggers when you're Combat Fist/Dagger. You run a Fist in MH and a Dagger in OH...

So fix that and your DPS should skyrocket.

Also, if you're going to be the only Combat Rogue/Arms Warrior in your raid, you may as well stay combat. Mutilate isn't' such a big DPS bonus that its worth respeccing every time.

Yeah I have been trying to get "Fist of the Deity" for MH, but the ******* hasn't dropped. The fist weapon I have is lvl 70 and figured the DPS increase would make up for it until I get a different one. Guess I was wrong there.

How is a dual fist setup if you use the two fist weapons (Greed MH from Mal'Ganis and Pride OH from 50 Emblem of Heroism)?

Also I saw over at elitistjerks.com Tinwhisker posted this.

"PvE Combat, fast and flawed advice Mainhand a sword or fist weapon of generally slow speed.
Offhand a sword, dagger or fist weapon of generally fast speed. Spec appropriately, 4/5 sword spec is fine if you take Close Quarters Combat. Mainhand Deadly Poison, Offhand Wound Poison."

So would it be feasible to modify my spec and use a sword in MH until I can get a Fist weapon?

You could do that I suppose.

But really, using your level 70 fist should work fine until you get a new one. Unless its a really good sword I think you'll do more DPS as Just Fist/Dagger instead of Sword/Dagger or whatever.

The other thing you could do is go straight up swords. OH sword from Wyrmrest and MH sword from Ebon Blade and you'll do great DPS. The main reason Fist/Dagger is better that Swords is because A. You can find faster Daggers for OH than you can Swords. B. Because of Itemization issues for finding good swords, you just tend to find Daggers/Fists more often.

Also if I recall correctly the 50 Badge OH is a very slow weapon, itemized for Shammys so you wouldn't want to go for that one.

Or you could spec Muti until you get a MH or just spec Muti for good.

So your options are:
A. Mutilate with your current Daggers
B. Fist/Dagger with your 1.4 Speed Dagger and your 70 Fist
C. Swords with the rep swords you can buy
D. Sword/Dagger with your OH Dagger and whatever sword you find for MH(This is the worst of the options in my opinion)

EDIT: As for Dual fists, there is really no reason to since you can always find a dagger OH that is better than a fist OH. Remember, for combat on the OH every .1 speed counts as 10 DPS. So a 130DPS Dagger with 1.3 speed would be the same as a 1.5 Fist with 150DPS(ignoring any other stats on them).
