Which glyph to chose for my third?Follow

Okay, so I have tried to find which 3 glyphs a raiding BM hunter should get, but I have not been unable to find a definitive answer.

From what I have found most people agree on 2 of them, but the third is in question. Therefore, I thought I would seek out your wisdom and get your insite or opinions.

The two that people seem to agree on are:

Glyph of Serpent Sting - Increases the duration of your Serpent Sting by 3 sec.
Glyph of Steady Shot - Use: Increases the damage dealt by Steady Shot by 10% when your target is afflicted with Serpent Sting.

Not sure which of these others to take for my third, I'm leaning towards one of the first two.

Glyph of Hunter's Mark - Use: Increases the attack power bonus of your Hunter's Mark by 20%.
Pros - A straight AP bonus.
Cons - Might not be your hunters mark. Will it still give you the bonus if another hunter places the mark?

Glyph of Improved Aspect of the Hawk - Use: Increases the haste bonus of the Improved Aspect of the Hawk effect by an additional 6%.
Pros - Helps towards haste cap, then just more auto shots.
Cons - As BM no additional haste is needed, so just more auto shots.

Glyph of Bestial Wrath - Use: Decreases the cooldown of Bestial Wrath by 20 sec.
Pros - Big Red Kitty more often.
Cons - If you go with a readiness build fights may be overwith before you ever get to take advantage of it.

Glyph of Aspect of the Viper - Use: Increases the amount of mana gained from attacks while Aspect of the Viper is active by 10%.
Pros - Less time spent in viper.
Cons - If you get proper raid buffs you won't be in Viper very often anyways (Hopefully you will not be anyways.)

If I mistaken on any of my statements please correct me.

So, what glyph are you using as your third, and why.

Thanks in advance!

BW, Steady Shot, Hawk.
Or, if you're the sucker that has to keep HM up, BW, Steady shot, HM.

Viperglyph is roughly... 20 mana per shot.. it's not going to do much, especially considering that you shouldn't have to be in viper during bosses anyway.

Serpent sting is nice but from all I've seen IAotH glyph beats it on dps.

What I have heard is BW (pretty much a no-brainer), Steady, Serpent. Serpent not because of the damage, but because it works very well with Steady in helping to keep the sting up longer so that less mana and fewer gcds get wasted on refreshing it. IF Steady glyph works with another hunter's sting it's not needed, but everything I've been reading says that it needs to be your own sting.

I generally try to ignore the o-boards but when every single hunter there seems to be agreed on something, I can't help but notice. <.< They were even explaining politely to each other why one should only use those three major glyphs. It was terribly cute. :)

Minor glyphs seem a bit harder to decide on, Mend Pet and Feign Death are pretty clear choices, but I'm not sure on which I want for my third of the ones I've seen. Revive Pet would be great but I hardly ever cast it in combat with a ferocity pet--I'm thinking maybe Scare Beast just for fun, but I'm not sure.

You can have more than one serpent sting on a target can't you?

If so then i'd be pretty sure it only works for YOUR sting.

If the fight is 2 minutes or longer, you will benefit from having this Glyph (assuming 3 points into Longevity).

Hunter's Mark: No, it will not override the AP if another hunter refreshes it. They just have to make sure to keep it up before it runs out.
Steady Shot: Yes, it has to be YOUR serpent sting. If you have enough AP, Serpent Sting should be a DPS increase anyway. Just use it.
Viper: "Meh"
