So I made my DK like the first week of LK's release. Mainly just to secure the name which was suggested at random by my guild leader.

Let him sit for a while, collecting rested (I haven't run out yet!).

And now...I'M HOOKED. I did all the starter quests, all of which were amazingly engaging and fun as hell. Got to Stormwind, and now I'm off to Outland!

I have no idea really what I'm doing in terms of spec but w/e, it's fun and something so entirely new to me. I don't plan on leaving my druid behind but this has turned into a very welcome diversion.

You and everyone else.

The amount of healers that rerolled DK is astounding. And upsetting.

I have a legitimate reason to change mains; rogue is boring and lackluster. Mutilate is hard to play in PvE, and combat is exceptionally boring.

PvP on a rogue was fun, but it's fun on DK too.

It's a good thing I'm the only one of my friends that is playing a DK. I'd be screwed if anyone else in our group rolled one.

Yeah they're a lot more fun than I expected. I rolled one and played the starting quests and fell in love with them. A fun class to play.

Rolled one in the first week. Great play style...got to 60. But not hooked.

I was definately put of by the fact there are so many of them. :(

So Im back on the Rogue...Combat Spec (Overlord Theophany - :) ) and good times.

rogue got retired for my DK (which sucks cuz i powerleveled him herb/alc lol)

my priest is still healing, and i still love it... just need that CoH nerf to hit so i got a reason to spec disc again hehe

but im lovin on my DK, not so much tanking anymore because of an influx of unappreciative asshats (although i do it if i HAVE to, id rather tank then solo sometimes lol)

i notice most the DKs ive played with that do well are rerolled rogues or rerolled fury warriors

and ya, healers are in a downfall like theo mentioned.... but i guess thats nice, since i rather have good healers available and run less often, its easy to ignore 30 other DKs in LFG lol

glad you enjoy it tav

The people that rolled DK in my guild and are seriously levelling it also have at least 3 other classes and they are all gonna come up eventually, so its not too bad.
The best part about this is I wont need to level my warrior right away because the guild, at least in the near future, will have too many tanks, so I plan on bringing my boomkin up and changing him to a resto druid. After I finish up my DK of course. Still not 80 due to multiple papers and work.
For me, DK > Druid > Warrior > Rogue > Hunter > Paladin most likely.

As for the rogue ->DK doing well comment, I think being forced to manage a regenerating resource, make quick rotation decisions, etc that a rogue has helps a lot. DK is also a mathy class, although I get the feeling its not as easy to model as the rogue is. I think a lot of rogues adapt to it pretty well. If I ever want the 'real rogue experience' I go to hillsbrad foothills, get in unholy presence, and gank the horde flight master

Great class...enhancement shaman will be going back to resto at 80 and warlock will be dps. Hopefully I can learn to tank with the DK.

I was considering either dps or demon healing...both are really good for raiding :P

edit: I actually meant I would be using my warlock for dps as opposed to my shaman...but yeah, me look stupid now :(

I leveled my druid to 72, then rolled a DK.

My DK is now my main, he's 2/3rds of the way to 72 as of now.

As you can see from my sig, I have quite a few toons.

I plan on leveling the DK to 80, Unholy Tank
Then the druid (played all 3 specs, probably go resto at 80)
Then Shammy (played all 3 specs, probably go back to ele if they do a few more fixes)
Hunter I hate and wish I had a rogue or warrior in place of. He's my AH ho now :P
Mage will probably come after shammy (Frost ftw)

I think it's actually a lot easier to model. We have many less procs, haste effects, etc to consider when modeling DPS.

Really the only hard thing to model is DRW and Garg. Other than that, rotations are pretty static, we don't have many procs other than Rime, Killing Machine, and Sudden Doom, our pet is very static (which is good and bad), and really it's just then scaling the gear that is what we base our models on.
