I have a 80 shaman. I was elemental at 70 raiding. When woltk comes up, i respecced enh to level. Currently, im enhancement and wish to respec to raid. However, i have some gear issues. Currently, my spellpower when ele is 1300+ and 20% crit chance, up from 1100+ spellpower and 30% crit chance at 80.
I need some links from head to bottom links to some ele gear from dungeons and stuff to get me geared for heroics. And what is the min dps and spell hit suitable to hit heroics?
I will link out my gear at 70... Currently 0 ele woltk gear...
Head - Mojo Maskmender from ZA
Neckpiece - SSO's neckie
Shoulders- T5
Chest - BOJ chespiece
Belt - BOJ belt
Bracers - BOJ bracers
Gloves - T6
Leggings - Avalanche Leggings from ZA

Honestly, you're probably fine just to jump head first into heroics and run them as often as possible.
Best case, you have a good guild and can run with them, but on my mage I just pugged alot. Some were painful runs, but I just kept grinding through them to get my neck and trinket.
I use wowhead and atlasloot to get a rough idea where the biggest upgrades for me are, but I'm not too selective over which heroics to run. Just run them all, try to finish the achievement for each heroic, then see where you stand gear wise. You should have enough badges for a ridiculously good +crit trinket (with a 590 spellpower proc), then you'll probably only have 1-2 pieces of 70 gear left and you can narrow down the list of heroics.
A big tip, especially if you're pugging, keep wowwiki or a similiar site open in the background, do a quick read on each boss, break it down in cliff notes for the group if nobody has completed it yet.
edit- Wait, if you're already revered with Kirin Tor you should buy the dagger ( http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44173 ), put 50 spellpower on it for now, and optionally get the new helm enchant (+8 spellpower, -14 hit, +20 crit).

Off-topic: wowhead is down for me. Website accessible bt the UI is horribly messy and typing anything to search gives me strings and strings of error codes. Anyone having the same problem?

Lets put it this way.
In your current gear level, there will be no upgrades from quests or non heroics.
So obviously heroics are the next logical step, don't worry about the stats. I've run and completed groups with people doing 800dps, I've seen prot warriors doing 1300 outdpsing some pretty geared rogues, just jump in and do it.

If you want my opinion, you're min-maxing this like it's 25 man Sunwell, when its really just a bunch of easy heroics. Go to where the upgrades are, I'm really surprised how much rep you've earned already from non heroics considering the terrible amount of reputation each run awards.

I'm facing similar problems. Realized my DPS is not good.... barely above the druid tanks that I'm running with. It's kind of shameful.
Old gear dont work very well, especially on the mana part now that we can't Pot like drinking water and no more mana oils
Had been trying to find where and how to upgrade without being 'carried'.
Also realized we need a lot more different stats now. Previously we focused on +SP +Crit, then +int and +sta
Now we need +hit, +haste, and Mp5 as well.
It's terrible.
Need some advice on what kind of stats to aim for. (how much +hit do we need for example)
I'm getting to hate Lava Burst. Because of it, my shocks are almost always on CD and now I can't help with spell disruptions. And yet I can't skip LB or my DPS gets gimped. Sigh.
With regards to gear upgrades:
1) Kirin Tor Signet (it costs 7k+ if u have good rep), good upgrade
2) Lots of Heroic badge gear that are puchasable....
I cant find good crafted armor though.
BTW, be careul when swapping out gear. Very likely your headslot meta gem will be deactivated. So do take that into consideration

spell hit isnt worrying for me right yet, i dont seems to miss anything for last 6-7 dungeons i running unless recount is wrong.

Well I went for the Leatherworking gear (lots of haste) and the titansteel guardian(553spellpower with enchant) from Blacksmithing. You don't even have to be any of those professions, just ask someone to make them for you. The other gear you'll get from naxx or heroics. And most important is your spellcycle and your talent tree.
I've got about 1500 spellpower and get close to 3000 with flametongue, wrath totem, foodbuffs and my trinkets. Finished first in the dps list against Archavon (with a pug that is)
Had 2200+dps

Titansteel guardian is a good choice. I'm still trying to find someone reliable on my server that can make that.
Another good choice for weapon (before titansteel guardian) would be the dagger from Kirin-Tor Revered Rep. It's got SP (I think 355), Crit and Hit. All the stats that we need.
Also important, u get the Head slot enchant. IMO, that's one of the 1st rep that we must grind. (on top of all the discounts u get from repairs, etc.)
