It is now 8% instead of 9%.

This Thread on EJ has pretty conclusive evidence.
Many tests done with many many shots fired.
Another thing on +hit: Focused Aim hit was supposed to transfer to our pets, and it did that on beta.
However in current live, focused aim does not transfer to pets, so BM hunters want to get 8% hit from gear.

Ergh. Annoying, as I was planning on going with a Focused Aim build so I could be lazy on gear, but useful to know.

Thanks for the info!

Well. I guess it's good news that it's only 8%. Sucks that pets only get the hit from gear (but it's kind of what I expected/assumed when they gave pets our hit).

I have 8% from Focused Aim, but hopefully as soon as I can run a few more instances for my rep grind, I'll be able to get that 8% from gear.

Aethien, thanks so much for keeping this forum up-to-date with the latest goings on. I rarely set foot over at EJ. Well now that FA is just about worthless, I have to rethink things....not like I will ever raid but I do want to be the best that I can be for whatever I do.

Rate up, because I couldn't do that on TKA. :P

I've also done my own tests, and come to the same conclusions. What makes FA still have value is the pushback resistance. There's a lot of fights that you'll be taking raid-wide damage, and if it's anything like BC, it'll push your Steadies back. (I raid with 3/3 FA, so I haven't noticed any pushback from damage. I'm not sure if the raid-wide damage mechanics have changed to not pushback, but I do recall fights in BC where my Steadies would get pushed back like 1-2 seconds.)

pushback mechanics have been altered, I don't know how exactly but there is a limitation on how much pushback you can get now.

Wasn't it a maximum of two pushbacks per cast both prolonging the cast by 0.5seconds each?

But there are not many encounters where you suffer pushbacks. Not every damage you take makes you suffer pushback. I believe only direct damage lets you suffer pushback. So you don't get it from dots and from aura damage (like Saphiron).
And there are not many fights in WotLK currently where you suffer a lot of direct damage (only Malygos comes to mind and there it is a littly anoying, but not a problem acutally).

Directly from the patch notes of 3.0.2

Spell casting and spell channeling pushback has been changed to the following:

* When casting a spell:
o The first and second hit will add .5 secs each to the cast time.
o All hits after the second will have no effect.
* When channeling a spell:
o The first and second hit reduces current duration by 25% of total duration each.
o All hits after the second will have no effect.

So basically you'll get hit twice, and continue casting like normal regardless of how many times you get hit after those first 2. Same goes for your Channeling Spells except your spell will be reduced to a total of 50% instead of just completely interrupting it.
