Just as the title says, i need help shutting down paladins. Twice today, i was killed by a enemy paladin while out questing. The 2nd time i was even fully rested and prepared for him. I just couldnt do it. The second his health got low he feared me away for like 15 seconds and just replenished himself. It's really frustrating. I'm unholy spec, so its me and my ghoul going at it and i just couldnt take this dwarf down.

Any advice? This is really getting me annoyed that I cant handle myself out there. I feel like im completely at their mercy. Granted, im not a great pvp'er, but i really need some advice on how to beat these guys.

Paladins can only fear undead. So don't use Lichborne against them.

When he gets low put Gargoyle on him and throw up AMS. Shouldn't be a problem.

Don't pop Lichborn. I laugh at death knights who pop Lichborn. I laugh while I fear them around and stun them with Holy Wrath.

Other than that it's just the same methods almost every other class uses, only you don't have the advantage of a disarm like rogues and warriors do. Ret paladins are a hard class to beat at the moment if you're anything other than a mage.

You can use Lichborne just fine. When they cast Turn Evil, you just cancel the Lichborne buff and your Fear is also cleared.

Paladins will all their CDs are extremely tricky because they essentially have three health bars with LoH and we have no tools against direct heals. The best you can do is keep Blood Plague up to dispel Sheath of Light and hit them with tasty burst. I've beaten Retadins before who didnt realise Scourge Strike crits for 5k.

Unholy DKs stand the greatest chance against Paladins as most damage bypasses armour and you can pop Anti-Magic Zone, which is an absolute killer for Ret DPS; similarly Anti-Magic Shield (when Glyphed) offers 10 secs of complete magic immunity for an Unholy DK, preventing application of Righteous Vengeance, Judgements and Fear.

Word to the wise; pop AMS before Lichborne; then Turn Evil can't affect you.
