I'm just curious how others feel about the Shaman. As I am leveling, it seems to me when I get ganked, I die within seconds. Like, I die faster than a regular mob of my level would. Now world PvP isn't usually a fair fight, but it just seems like a lot of the other classes are able to put up more of a fight or are able to be able to do something that allows them to get away. I'm not really complaining, just curious if I am doing something wrong. It seems like I our hp pool is very small and I am not sure why that would be. Any advice (I am Enh specc'd).

Shamans are probably the easiest kill in the game and the weakest PvP class. Enhance is the strongest, arguably, of the specs for PvP once you get your wolves. In fact, in the 40s and 50s, its tough to beat, but loses power higher up. I don't know what lvl you are but most shammies cant survive a ganking. Resto is tough to kill but has only one insta-heal and a dispellable bubble, so it's not exactly an i-win button.

my tauren shaman is only a level 42 but I haven't lost that many battles with alliance of the same level or close. When I started wearing mail, I never lose at all unless they are quite a bit higher in level.

It's not that you're only 42. It's that 35-55 are the levels during which Shaman are insanely powerful, once you get to the higher levels you will find that we just don't dominate anymore. I had to make a 49 shammy twink just because I loved how powerful we were in that bracket.

so your saying for me to keep kicking butt, I need to stop leveling my shaman around 50 or so and take my rogue on up to 70 if I want a high level *** kicker?

U just need to get used to being ganked, and running back to your corpse.

Shamans = favourite ganking target. Everybody who flew past will come back and gank you. Simply because u don't have any escape mechanisms. Rogues are the worst, they simply love shamans.

This seldom happen to me when I was playing my druid, kekeke. Life was so much easier.

Don't get me wrong, Shammies are still great at the high end, Spirit wolves for enhancement are great and the other specs have some nice treats too.

Having said that if you really want your shammy to be UBER then yes, leave him at 49, spec enhancement and massacre all comers.

Enh is probably the hardest spec to PvP well with at 80.

Enhancement is the new Three-Minute Mage. We roll people's socks down when we have all of our cooldowns up, but without them we're just as easy or easier to dispatch as we ever were.

WTT POW buttons for Spirit Wolf abilities not linked to Spirit Wolves and damage reduction not linked to Shamanistic Rage.

After playing a bit more I think Gaudion pretty much has it. If I get ganked now, I pop my spirt wolves, shamanistic rage, and instant heals and just go to town on the guy. I have taken out a few people now that have attempted to gank me. I think I was just a bit demoralized and didn't believe I could win so just didn't try. But just pop all your cooldowns and you at least stand a chance to survive and probably surprise the poor guy who attacked you because he didn't think you would really put up a real fight.
