I completely understand the need to initially limit death knights (1 per server, only on servers you have a 55). But now, the initial rush is over. I can't be the only one who wants a horde and ally DK. Unfortunately, all of my over 55 toons are on the same server, so I actually had to delete my horde DK just because I wanted to experience alliance. Am I the only one perturbed at this situation? Does anyone have any information on when the restrictions are being lifted? Thanks for any info.
as far as i know, that restriction isnt going to be lifted
transfer your horde dk to a diff server, and start an alli one.... costs ya some cash but its prob your only option
a DK is like any other character, so renaming or transfer or all that... same rules as any other toon

Had not thought about the transfer idea. Do you think they will let you transfer in a toon on a server that you cannot make on that server?

i suspect when a new hero class comes out in who knows when alot of people will transfer their DKs to another server to create the new hero. the rule for heros as far as i know is you can only have 1 hero per server not 1dk 1whatever other hero but ONE hero. thats from what ive gathered anyway

Where did you get that from? There are no other hero classes yet, none publicly named by Blizzard so far. If you try to create a second Death Knight on a server that you already have one on, the error message informs you that you can only have "one Death Knight hero class" on each server. That causes me to believe that we'll probably be able to have multiple hero classes on the same server (when the others come out) but we'll just be limited to one of each.
I could be wrong about that eventually. I can't see Blizzard forcing people who made Death Knight's during WotLK to need to start up on a completely new server or discard their DK's to different servers, if they want to make a new separate class. It just doesn't make sense.

They do, they even let you do a free realm transfer on a DK if your realm is eligible. Tested it out myself.
