Ok, here's another build I am asking for all help to perfect. More for starting raids as it has both of the +Hit Talents, though those points could be moved later. Also, based on my other post, Obtaining Hit Rating, a list, +Hit shouldn't be to hard to acquire pre-raid. So Let's look at 2 versions.

First with the Spell Hit talents:

The part I am Stuck on is Eradication, Death's Embrace and Pandemic. I am inclined to take Death's Embrace, as some great numbers have been posted around using Drain Soul during the last 25% of fights. So my thought is, early raiding, before Hit Cap, you may not have a lot of Crit, so take Death's Embrace and Eradication, leaving us with:

Once your Hit Capped and can move some points around:

Thoughts? Improvement? Anything.

BTW, here shortly I am planning on undertaking the task of writing a new Warlock Guide with the help of another poster here. One section of the guide will be for raiding and raid builds of all specs. Hence the Demo and now Affliction posts, and trying to perfect the builds. I will also be testing these in raids soonish(still waiting on a healer to catch up to the rest of the guild), and have already started testing them in Heroics.

Just throwing this out there.

Full Spec 1

Imp. Fel Hunter - why? Isn't the Fel Intelligence outdone by priests or someone? So would you be running with him out? I'd prefer Grim Reach. Or, if you can, and I'm not sure, max out Pandemic, which I love.

Is 2 points in Imp. CoA now considered worth it then? Because it wasn't. That's another 2 points you could use - perhaps in Malediction for 2% increase to spell damage? Or even keep your Imp. Fel Hunter if you plan to use him.

Full Spec 2

Got no real problem with the placement of your Affliction points here, but I do with the Destro. Given the amount of Affliction spells you have to cast now, I don't see Imp. SB being of much use at all. I'm wondering if ALL those points might be better spent in Demonology once you've maxed out Bane - but I don't have time now to look at just how!

You're better at me than this as I'll never run the actual numbers, but those seem like fair oints to make!

The Imp Felhunter is for the mana regen he gets. So that if I'm low on life I can Dark Pact and he'll regen the mana quickly. Basically it's to make him my damage dealing mana battery instead of an imp of passive.

For the Malediction, isn't that overwritten by a druid or a death knight now? However, my guilds 10-man group one won't have either, so maybe I will take that. Something to think about for possible variations of the build.

In the second build, the points in Imp SB are really just filler. Just to get to Devastation. I had tried affliction earlier leveling and ran a couple instances. I still seemed to cast a decent amount of SBs. So I think the extra crit on them is worth it. I could be wrong though. I don't really run numbers either, I just try different things out and go by feel. I read the numbers elsewhere when I can find them. Jenova should be able to help here though.

Hmm, just realized I left Soul Siphon out of both my builds. With Death's Embrace I think that should be in there for the last 25%.

So Before Hit Cap w/ Malediction, for if you do not run with a Boomkin or DK:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IcxdbhMAoiVoIstZVMhV

Key Points:
Both Hit Talents.
Soul Siphon/Death's Embrace - better Drain Souls at the end of Boss Fights.
Fel Concentration to help casting during unavoidable AoE.
Imp Felhunter - for a pet that can deal damage while being a Mana Battery. Some fights may still require Phase Shifted Imp though.
Pandemic - make crit worth something.
Everlasting Affliction/Haunt - Main reason for the build
Bane
Devastation - For the nightfall procs and fillers.

Even without a Boomkin or DK there though what would be a better DPS increase, Malediction for raid or Eradication for you?

Once Hit capped:
move the points in Cataclysm to Molten Core and Imp SB(filler)
Move Supression to Life Tap and Imp CoA -or- Eradication/Malediction(depending on what is better)

What do you guys think of this?

Looks perfect apart from I don't get Molten Core.

Apart from Immolate what fire spell are you going to be using??

I'd max out Life Tap and, with the 3 points from Suppression once capped, go for Eradication. Which still leaves you with a point...!

Or do you need Molten Core to get Ruin?
