Elemental buildsFollow

So, I've been Lvl 80 elemental for a couple of days now, soloing went great, certainly with lava burst packing 5k+ damage around lvl 78, now nearing constantly 6k+ on lvl 80.

I've gone for an 57/14/0 build with call of flame and lava flows maxed. So packing everything for a decent flame shock lava burst combo. I've also used the glyphs to increase flame shock duration and preventing it from being consumed when lava burst hits. So my spell cycle in heroics is momentarily Flame shock/Lava burst/4xLB/ Lava burst.

It's certainly decent dps. But it just doesnt do it anymore in heroics. I'm mostly third or fourth on the dps list, while I was first/second pre-wotlk.
I was thinking about changing some talent points, but that's just the deal with elemental... You can't change anything! Tidal mastery is out of the question for an all out LB-spam build, enhancement is out of the question except for the first 3 tiers,...
So what shall I do? Keep the lava cycle or just go back to LB spamming? Or is elemental just history?

Does anyone have some constructive arguments on this subject?

Mental quickness implies having agility. With all due respect, that's just outright stupid on elemental spec. And I think enhancement is packing good tier1-3 talents for elemental. Rather tier 2 Thundering Strikes then Tier 4 Tidal mastery from resto.

IMO they just buffed every class way up and left us elemental shamans standing on the sidelines watching the retri palas and feral druids steal the show. We've become nothing more than an utility spec.
