Obtaining Hit Rating, a listFollow

Using wow-loot.com, and looking at heroics mostly, I compiled a list of items mostly with +Hit. There are also a few items in there that do not have hit, but are very good for the slot they are in. I did not look at normal mode drops yet, so if anyone knows of any items that come from elsewhere that are better than what is on this list please let me know and I'll edit it.

Adding up all that hit, it's 401, so nearing the cap without talents spent right there, not including enchants/gems.

No problem, I was looking around and hadn't found anything that great yet as far as gear guides. I know Canadian Pimp is working on his total gear guide, and he is estimating it to be ready mid-december, but I needed something now to start gearing. There's a mage and a warrior in my guild that we always have a contest on who can top the damage, and I want to keep on winning once we get into Naxx. So I made a little handwritten guide for myself at home. However, my handwriting is sloppy, and it wasn't layed out in a specific order to get the items. So since we've been really slow at work, I brought it in with me and typed it up so I could print it out(no printer at home). Figured I'd take the extra step and share with you guys, the mages, and The Warlock's Den.

The Hit Cap is 446.

As for importance of stats, things havn't changed too much,

Hit until Cap
Spell Damage
Haste/Crit

Crit is still important, but not as important due to the changes to Imp SB, your crits don't increase your DoTs anymore, nor anyone else's damage. Ruin is still nice though, but I think it will end up about equal to haste now.

I made a few changes to the list last night. Nothing major, but I closed notepad w/o saving it. I'll try to redo it this long weekend, but I am also planning on starting The Ultimate Warlock Guide this weekend too. So we'll see what happens first.

I beleive the only changes I made were a back the drops in reg Halls of Lightning(I got it last night too), and the Crafted Hit Robe instead of what I have listed here. I think there was a hit weapon Rep Reward from the Kirin'Tor, and something from the Ebon Blade too. Then I took something else out and came up to 1-2 points over the Hit Cap from gear alone. No Enchants, and no Gems.

I'll definitely have a list of all +Hit Items available pre-raid in my guide, and a preferred set-up. Until then, this useful post at The Warlock's Den should hold you over:

What's the hit cap with Cataclysm for a destro lock? I can't find the damn thread anywhere. Assume no other buffs, just to be safe.

Also...I can make destro work. Ok, may not put out as much dps as Aff/Demo, but I can still manage 3k. Weird set up though...
