As usual I shouldn't open my yap, this time because I've only run Nexus so far, but I found that one run but a bit less challenging than I'd like. The fights were as interesting as Azeroth and TBC dungeons, but it just went a little too smoothly considering we didn't know the dungeon. I'm sure things'll get more difficult and eventually I'll cwy like a widdow baby fow my mama, but man I hope that comes sooner than later.
Because, on a related topic, I'm getting fed up with the simplicity of questing/leveling in Northrend. I swear to god my 4-year-old's Lego Star Wars game is more intellectually challenging, no lie. It requires you to actually use your brain to solve problems, and utilize the special abilities and strengths of various types of characters.
Northrend questing so far has pretty much been click, kill, loot -- except for the few cool new quests where you get a special mount with new abilities. Thems I like.
As far as regular quests, maybe I'm just superawesome ninjacat with whipped cream and leet sauce drizzled on top of me, but so far they're too goddamn easy. The way I remember it, questing back on Azeroth and Outland required some level of cranial activity to avoid or deal with scary multi-mob pulls and exceptional situations. Hell, tackling the campfires of gnolls in Westfall was harder than anything I've had to do in Northrend so far. The gnoll camps in Wetlands come to mind too...maybe I just have an innate fear of gnolls and it's always been this easy. :(
Hell, last night I got 20k experience for...no lie...
taking an earth-shaking dump.
